a nervous girl was the definition of trinity right now. she was off to go meet a guy she had never met in person before, and all she knew was his name, and where he went to school. they went to the same school, but her being a new kid, she hadn't seen him around yet. however, he seemed like a really nice guy. or so she hoped he was a nice guy, because she had agreed to go to his house and build a snowman with him. even though she had never met him before, she was very excited to go. although her nerves took over her excitedness. before she was allowed to go she had to ask her dad if she was allowed to go, and he agreed, as long as he could meet bentley's parents before he left her alone there with him. now, she was happy he agreed, but she didn't want him to embarrass her, which he was sure to do. of course parents embarrassed you, it was their job besides taking care of their children.
she took a deep breath and rummaged through boxes to find her winter jacket and a scarf, hat and gloves. lately she had been doing a lot of unpacking, but because she didn't go out in the snow often she hadn't unloaded the stuff that she didn't really need yet. when she found her winter coat, she tried it on making sure it still fit. when she went out she never wore bulky coats like this one, but it was the warmest one she had, and if she was making a snowman she would want all the warmth that she could get. she pulled out her matching hat and gloves before throwing them on as well. then she wrapped a scarf around her neck, and walked down the stairs to put on her boots. her dad was standing there shaking her head at her, but she stuck her tongue out at him and just tied the laces on her boots.
after getting everything on, she walked out to the car and got in, allowing her father to take over the drivers side. on the way to bentley's house her dad lectured her about kising boys, and that they might want to do things that she wasn't comfortable doing. she shook her head at her dad and ignored hiim, because she could barely talk to a guy without stuttering. how was she going to kiss a guy? it just wasn't possible. and she never met a guy she even wanted to kiss, as she had been locked away in boarding school for the longest time, where no guys were allowed. none of the teachers were even boys. it was a life of girls and girls only. when they finally arrived at bentley's house, butterflies were surfacing in trinity's stomach. now she was going to meet a very attractive boy who she had just began talking to.
her father got out of the car first, and she followed after him. they walked up to the front door and knocked, trinity looking down at the ground. when bentley's mom answered the door and ushered them in, trinity followed her father in, as he began talking. "i just want to make sure that my baby girl is going to be safe. and that her and your son aren't going to be doing inappropriate things," he said, looking around the house, taking everything in. he was being an over protective dad, which was weird since she had been living with him for only a few weeks. sighing softly she she said, "dad i will be fine," before looking over at bentley, who was more gorgeous in person. blushing softly she bit her lip before looking at the ground. she was definitely even more nervous now, especially because she had never talked to him before. looking back up at him she gave him a shy, small smile.

Bentley was actually pretty nervous his self, because even though he was an athlete and from what people said not bad on the eyes he was a total geek first and when it came to girls he wasn’t really smooth around them. His friends even said he was lame when it came to talking to girls in person and that came to the simple fact that when he was nervous he tended to just blurt things out, and the things he tended to blurt out were basically any random fact he knew. He was one of those people who seemed like he would be good at talking, just for the way he looked and the way he acted around his friends but he really wasn’t. He wasn’t even that way around any of his female friends, he was normally just quiet and sat there and when talked to he would actually have a conversation with one of them and they were just his friends. He never had a first kiss or a girlfriend and he was okay with that, because he was fine with girls just being his friends really.
He had gotten is snow attire out of the closet an hour before, his heaviest coat, his hat, gloves, and scarf, and his boots setting them in his room pulling on his sweater, and a pair of old jeans he would be okay with getting soaked. His jeans were a little worn on the bottoms but they were still a decent pair of jeans and pulling his other clothes on he looked in his mirror to make sure that he looked okay and not like an Eskimo, which was actually what he was aiming at trying to actually avoid. His parents were standing there shaking their heads almost surprised their son was having a girl over, and that he was actually really nervous about it. They knew all of his friends, so they really knew the girl wasn’t one of his friends and they were actually happy that he was meeting new people because that wasn’t actually something he seemed to do, he just stuck with the friends he had.
His little sister was now bouncing up and down ready to go outside and play in the snow the minute Trinity arrived even though Bentley told her twice she needed to way for that, Princess Katie was a very impatient little girl and just wanted to build a snow Zeus, which was the name of their dog. When she said that he had chuckled and shook his head with a smile, it was always Katie who wanted to make a snow dog or a snow cat instead of a snow man. He didn’t seem to mind it all that much though, Katie could do whatever he wished to do and he and Trinity could work on their snow man together. That was how he sort of wanted things to be anyway, he had his bag of things for the snow man all set and ready even. He was actually really excited for this, and was going to make sure Trinity had a lot of fun with him.
Sitting down on his couch, with Katie on his lap he was humming waiting for Trinity to get to his house so her dad could talk to his parents who would be outside with them to watch Katie and make sure the two teenagers behaved. The minute his father said that his face had turned bright red, and he had just kept quiet the rest of the time he waited for the knock on the door and when it came Zeus was the first thing you heard as he bounded to the door from the kitchen and Bentley’s mother come to the door to let them inside.“Ah yes, please come inside” she said with a smile as she ushered them in Bentley finally standing up setting Katie on her feet. Listening to Trinity’s father’s words he turned red as his own father chuckled, “my son wouldn’t do a thing like that with his little sister and us around” he glanced a Bentley who was now bright red and looking at Trinity. A small smile on his face, he was just not sure what to even say right now.

trinity honestly had no idea how to act around a guy. she knew that they were into stuff much different than girls, but she had no idea just what they were into. of course there were a few guys who were into stuff that she liked to do, but for the most part guys were "weird" and were off doing guy things, and she had no idea what that consisted of. when she tried talking to guys and fit in with them, she made a complete fool of herself. she knew that a lot of guys liked sports, but then again some hated sports. mostly she had no idea how their brain worked. ways in which girls thought, boys thought a completely different way. trinity had just stopped trying to understand how their brain worked, because there was no way she was ever going to get it.
now she was very embarrassed right now, mostly because of her father being crazy over protective dad, when she really just wished that he would walk his butt back to the car and head home, instead of asking questions and making trinity cringe. she shuddered a little bit as her father stood there, still looking around the house. "that's a good thing, because i don't want anything to happen to my little girl. i will not be happy if anything bad happens to her." as he kept talking trinity just felt even more embarrassed than she had before. mentally, she cursed in her head before looking at bentley, forcing a small smile. she placed her fingers in her pockets before looking back at her father, wishing he would just disappear at this moment. "but i think for right now everything should be fine," he said, before turning to trinity and ruffling her hair in his hands. see ya later sweetie, i love you," he said, before heading out to his car. trinity turned even redder than she was before, and right now she wanted to curl into a ball and hide as far away as possible.
shaking her head, she looked back up at bentley before saying, "sorry, that was pretty embarrassing." she walked over to him trying to get over the fact that her father just ruined everything. "sorry about that. i wanted to get him to stop but he just kept going," she said, not really knowing what else to say. again, she was terrible around guys, especially guys she had never actually met in person before. she looked at bentley once more before smiling, still a bit red. "well it's about time we actually meet each other in person," she said softly, before standing there, not knowing what else she could say. it didn't help that bentley was extremely attractive. from the pictures she had seen, she knew that he was definitely not lacking in the looks department, but she had no idea just how attractive he really was until she was standing near him, looking at him. now she was even more nervous around him, if that was possible.

Bentley liked to believe that he was girl dumb, because around a girl that he even happened to find cute he had no idea what to really say to them and ended up looking like a total fool without even trying to be. It just always seemed to end up that way for him, no matter how much he tired to be smooth and tried to be a gentlemen. Sure he was the latter but he was far from being smooth, he was basically just your typical geeky jocks since those did seem to exist. He was more a geek in his own eyes than anything else though and he was okay with that too, he would rather be smart than some of the things the people at his school were. He knew that so many people in school seemed to have no respect for people, and Bentley would never be one of those people, he thought those people wre just so stupid.
Bentley just seemed to stand there for some time really having nothing to say to his own parents or to Trinity’s father, his parents seemed to be handling okay and unless they said something to embarrass him he had nothing to worry about. They lived in a good home, pictures hanging up on the walls and Katie was bouncing around while Zeus stared up at Trinity almost unsure of the stranger here. “No worries, we’ll all keep him in line and besides I’m sure the worst he’ll do is talk her ear off. Talking about the stars” his father spoke causing Bentley blinked, “I talk about more than just stars” he mumbled staring down at the floor for a moment. The stars just always seemed to be a topic that Bentley could always talk about, because he just happened to know a lot about them and liked to study them. He liked to study a lot of different things though, it came with both of his parents being teachers and teaching him things since he was a little kid. His main thing to study on top of the stars was History, because he always seemed interested in the wars and it also helped that his father was his History teacher.
The minute that Trinity’s dad was gone he was pretty glad, because he wasn’t sure he would have been able to handle anymore embarrassment before he basically just died right there in the middle of the room. “Oh no it’s fine, I mean my parents can be pretty embarrassing too, I’m just glad my mom hasn’t found it in herself to go and find any baby pictures” Bentley looked at Trinity and almost laughed just thinking at how awful that would be. His mother was one of those people who would embarrass him without even a second thought, which Bentley seemed to really hate sometimes because she would always show old pictures of him during class. That was when he really wished that his mother was not his teacher, and it also didn’t help that he would also talk in class and she would always seem to just full name him. “Don’t tempt me Bentley” the women warned as Bentley gulped, he did not want that at all because there was some pretty weird pictures of him his mother just happened to keep.

trinity stood there until she was sure her father was gone because she was already humiliated. she did not need to say something that was going to make him embarrass her more. knowing him he would go into a rant of all the embarrassing things she had done in a week, and it would be an extremely long list. trinity was good at doing things that would make other people laugh at her, though she tried very hard not to do so. but she was her, and her own little self said stupid things and did stupid things all the time, even without noticing them. and people laughed at her for it, which was part of the reason she thought the whole world was out to get her. "nothing is wrong with talking about stars.. but i don't know much about them. i could probably point out the little dipper. but that is about it," she said, running her fingers through her hair. she was not the best at astronomy. her favorite subjects were history and music, and science was definitely one of her weaker points. "but if you try explaining them to me, maybe i will pick up on it."
"parents are really embarrassing," she nodded. but she knew that if she was a mom she would probably do the same exact thing because it would be terribly funny. she laughed a little before looking over at his mom. "baby pictures would be cute!" she said, before looking over at bently. she would hate it if her father brought out her baby pictures, but she would find it funny as long as it happened to someone other than herself. taking another deep breath she looked at him. she was still wearing her coat and boots, though she wasn't sure if they were going outside or not yet. but she probably looked like a complete fool standing there wearing them. "are we going to go outside or should i take off all of these things?" she asked bentley, looking at him.

Even though it might never seem that way, Bentley was actually a lot more awkward than people might think and he was even easily embarrassed. It was funny really, to see a just like Bentley blush since he was pretty tall and he was an athlete and he just wasn’t supposed to go and act the way that he did but it seemed that around Trinity he just couldn’t even seem to help but act that way. It seemed like Trinity just made him feel totally different, and in a way that he never even seemed to feel before and he wasn’t sure how he felt about feeling this way. It wasn’t a bad feeling, he wasn’t thinking that but he knew that it was not a feeling that he had before and his parents were going to embarrass him this whole day for it. “I love learning about the stars, because when I was a kid I would go to this hill I knew about and just stare at them for hours. It was always just a fun thing to do when I just needed to think and staring at the stars always helped me think” he shrugged a little bit, “I think I can help you learn more about them though. I like to think I’m a pretty good teacher” he was teaching them to his sister even.
“Oh and yeah parents can be really embarrassing” he mumbled a little bit shaking his head like crazy at the very thought of Trinity actually seeing his baby pictures because he just knew for a fact that he would die if that happened, he hated his baby pictures. He actually wished that every single one of them could just be burned, but he knew his mother worked hard on taking each and every one of them and they were actually really important to her so having them all destroyed would just be a thing to go and break her heart and he really didn’t want that. He looked at her before looking at his little sister who was actually just ready to go outside now, “oh yeah we are. Katie has been ready to go outside all day” he laughed before pulling his hat on his head, he was ready to go outside his self now.

trinity knew that she wasn't drop dead gorgeous. she was never going to be a gorgeous blonde haired girl with blue eyes and an amazing body who could get any guy that her heart desired. but she knew that she wasn't exactly ugly either. she was someone who wasn't really gorgeous but wasn't ugly, she lied somewhere in the middle. so she was wondering a little why bentley wanted to hang out with her when he could hang out with someone who was drop dead stunning. she was plain and no guy had ever really showed much interest in her. it also didn't help that she had been at an all girls school for most of her life, so she couldn't be around guys. but guys now never really looked at her on the street and they never really wanted to carry a conversation with her. when she met bentley he was the first guy who ever really wanted to get to know her at all, which was nice, but it was terrifying all at the same time. "the stars are really nice to look at, but again, i don't know much about them at all. but if you do want to be my teacher, that would be very cool." she said, smiling at him a little.
she laughed a little bit once more before saying, "someday i will see your baby pictures, whether you like it or not. it's something i need to see some point." baby pictures were always very embarrassing for everyone, but parents really cherished them and wanted to hold onto them forever. she wasn't sure if her mom had many baby pictures of her though, because she didn't think her mom really cared much about her childhood. all she had really cared about was making sure her boyfriend was happy, and it was her boyfriend who thought that it would be a good idea for trinity to go to boarding school. and of course her mom listened, and then she was gone. trinity had never been her first priority, she was always near the bottom of her list of priorities. "sound good," she said, tightening her boots to make sure that they were tight enough for the time they were going to spend outside. she looked at him, waiting for him to take the lead.

Bentley was told that he was attractive by a lot of different people, but he just wasn't really one of those people that actually believed the things that people seemed to tell him. He thought that he was really just average looking and that was about it, he actually even hated how he looked because he would look in the mirror and pick out all of the things that he seemed to hate about his self even though he knew that he shouldn't. He could work out, and he did every day but he still never really liked how he looked. He also played sports all the time, but he had cuts and bruises from the years of hockey and that was all he saw. He only seemed to see them as the times where he got hurt, he didn’t even seem to see his self as a jock. He was more of a geek when he thought about his self because he was smart, his parents were both teachers after all and that was really all that was important to him. "I could teach you all about the stars, I guess that is if you want me too though" he shrugged. He wasn't even sure if she wanted him too really, but if she did he of course could talk for hours.
When she mentioned that she would see his baby pictures someday he had to frown because he knew for a fact that he had some embarrassing ones that he didn't even want his cousin Mattius seeing, but he saw them since he was family. "I would rather you not see them you be honest" he laughed a little, he was joking mostly because he was sure that one of these days she really would have to see them. His mother would probably go and find them, and after that he would be basically screwed. His parents enjoyed taking pictures, and for that he was supposed to feel blessed because at least it meant that his parents did care about him. He knew that many people didn't even have a family like his; he loved his family a lot. "Alright so let’s go outside" he smiled taking his little sister's hand heading outside into the cold air staring up at the snowy and cloudy sky, it was just really pretty.

trinity was never going to be one of those girls who could get any guy they want, and she knew that. of course even though she wasn't stunning, she didn't really find herself ugly either. she was pretty average. and a little boring. there was nothing that really stood out on her. she had brown eyes, brown hair. just a normal teenage girl. sure, some people probably found her ugly, and some people might find her pretty. but she knew that she fit in and not a lot of people were going to pay attention to her. which was okay with her. trinity did not like a lot of attention, in fact she cringed when people had their eyes on her. she was much more comfortable going along with the crowd. she had never been into sports, a lot of it being in a boarding school, and the other part being that she was just not athletic. it was hard for her to play sports. now sometimes trinity wondered what she was good at, because it seemed like there wasn't much she was good at. and it all came down to music. she could write a bit as well, but her voice was probably the most talented thing about her. it was good that she could write songs to sing, but she preferred to sing other songs, because she was scared to let the world hear her own music. "i have nothing against learning about the stars," she said with a smile. she was into learning something new.
"i will make a promise with you. if i get to see some of your baby pictures, i will show you some of the songs i wrote. which are probably just as bad," she said, looking at him. they could both laugh at each other. except that babies were cute, and she would be laughing at how adorable he looked when he was a baby. trinity had never shared any of her music with anyone, so she had no idea whether or not the music was good or bad, but of course she figured it would be on the bad side. it was just the way she was, she tended to look more on the negative side. but when she got compliments it boosted her confidence by just a little. "sounds good," she said, before following him back outside. the snow was falling little by little, and it looked really pretty outside. she smiled to herself before looking at bentley once more.
