mikey really had no idea what was going on. he logged onto the computer to have a good chat with his friends, who he hadn't seen in a few days, which was really rare for them, to find that his girlfriend was upset. he could tell she was upset when she was swearing at the others, and usually she did not curse at others. so mikey, being the good boyfriend that he was, ended up at the flower shop. he wanted to do whatever he could to bring a smile onto his girlfriends face. mikey had never bought flowers for a girl before, and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. it was unlike him to be very thoughtful and do a lot of sweet things for others. but he really cared about janessa, and do whatever it took to make her happier and put her into a better mood. mikey ordered a dozen rozes and stood to the side of the shop while the florist put them into a nice arrangement, tied with a bow. he paid for the flowers before heading back out to his car. the last stop until he got to her house was to stop and get her some chocolates. he got into the car and drove away, heading to the store. the flowers were set down in the passengers seat. as he pulled into the parking lot, he parked the car and then got out. running in, he got a big box of chocolates, paid for them, and headed out to see janessa.

he pulled into the driveway, parking his car off to the side in case anyone needed to pull in or leave behind him. he grabbed the contents that he had just purchased and walked into the house. there was no need to knock. janessa and carter already knew him well, and her dad had gotten use to the fact that her and mikey were together. it would have just been odd for him to knock. mikey walked up to janessa's room, figuring she would be in there. opening the door slowly, he peered in to make sure she wasn't changing or doing something that she wouldn't want him to see. she was sitting on her bed and he smiled at her. "hey love. i stopped at the store and got you some flowers and candy... i know i am really bad at this boyfriend stuff, but i am trying," he said, giving her a small smile. he set the flowers and chocolates on a table beside her bed, and sat down beside her. mikey kissed her cheek before pulling her into his arms. "now tell me what is bothering me so i can beat up whoever is making you said."

Janessa had been in a very bad mood. She had been swearing since morning, from the time she had seen her dad in the house. this was the same person who had given up on his family for the sake of fame, career and left them. they didn't even have a proper place to stay back then but now thanks to Janessa's mother & Carter's career, they lived an elite life. janessa had grown up without the fatherly figure in her life and had always felt his absence, but at the same time a strong hate to see how easily he had abandoned his family. after eighteen years of his life he had returned back with the realization that he wanted his family back together. what took him so long? at first when they all denied his request, he decided to take away janessa, who had the same talent as his dad, dancing and she hated it. actually, at first she loved dancing but when she saw how dancing and fame had broken her family, she kept away from it. also, whenever she was dancing, it would get to the news and she would be known as william's daughter - the next dancing star, which she hated. in fact she hated fame itself, however, always managed to live hidden by keeping her talent of dancing only to herself. janessa had agreed to be in the custody of her father as first, as Carter wasn't in favour of Janessa & Mikey's relationship & Carter had been hard on Mikey, which was indirectly effecting the band. Janessa knew if she was going to be around, she wouldn't be able to stay away from Mikey, hence going away was a way to stop the worse from happening. However, Carter had stopped Janessa a day before her flight whereupon she cried, expressing her love for both her bother and Mikey and how she couldn't choose between one so she was leaving. he told her that he could let her be with Mikey but never tolerate their dad so that's how Mikey & Janessa were together today. Janessa was starting to be known as 'mikey's girlfriend' all over the interest and magazine than 'Carter's little sister or William's daughter', which made her feel good, that she was with someone she loved.

The reason behind her misery was that her father had gotten a hold of her Mother's heart and was trying to make his way back into the family and her mother was actually allowing it. Janessa had seen her father sneak into the house late at night and into her mother's room with the help of her mother and then she had seen them kissing, which turned her suspicion into belief that her parents were planning to get back together. Clearly, she hated her dad and didn't trust him. she didn't think he deserved an another chance. it was due to her dad that she had stopped believing in marriages and never wanted to be married. all these thoughts of hatred was going through her head when Mikey walked in and sat next to her, kissing her cheeks and pulling her into his arms. oh hey.. I am so sorry. for everything.. I didn't mean to be so bitchy she apologized, feeling guilty and looking him into the eyes. She had been too harsh on Mikey and her other friends earlier. thanks. You know you're the perfect boyfriend anyone can ask for, don't say bad about yourself she palely smiled taking the flowers and chocolate and putting it aside. She sighed loudly. dad she said at once. He had been wanting to come back into our lives, after fifteen years of divorce. Mom promised that she won't allow it to happen but she's been lying to us. She had been sneaking him into the house, last night I saw it happen and they went into the room.. and in the morning I saw them kissing.. what is this all supposed to mean? the man I hate the most is in our home and then my mother is lying to us, betraying us for his sake? she said bitterly. how could she? after all that we have been through because of him? she got up and stood against the corner of the window and smashed her hand hard on the wall. how could she? she yelled in anger and groaned in pain.

mikey never really spoke to his parents anymore. it all happened when he had started to love music, and his parents didn't support his dreams. they felt like it wasn't a real career, and that he needed himself to get involved and go to college to be something that made a lot of money, like a doctor or a lawyer. but mikey never wanted that. all he wanted to do was sing. when he met the guys and they began working together, everything just fell into place. and then his parents gave up on him and told him that they would not give him money if he ever needed it. unless they were paying for him to go to college. now mikey had all the money in the world, or so it seemed. he could go out and spend as much as he wanted, and not have to worry about running out of money. paying bills was easy, and he knew he would just keep going further and further with the boys. a college education was not something that he needed, but something that his parents wanted for him, but he was glad he didn't have to do that. now he was dealing with all of the fame, which wasn't easy, but at the same time it was nice. it was nice to be able to go somewhere and have people know your name and want to meet you, but at times it got extremely overwhelming. especially when mikey wanted a little privacy. going out with janessa was hard at times, because when he wanted to go do something often they would get chased down by paparazzi and then get their pictures posted everywhere. it was hard for mikey to handle at times. often they just had to sit in his apartment watching movies so they could be alone.

it was killing him to see his girlfriend so upset. she was usually so happy and bubbly that seeing her like this was breaking his heart. mikey had never been the type of guy to care about a girl he was seeing, until he met janessa. everything had changed once he got with her. he stopped doing things that were bad, to make her happy. and he found himself constantly thinking about her. "no it's fine.. i know how things can be when you are upset about something. i am the same way. when i get upset i am such a dick to the guys. it makes them really upset with me," he said. mikey didn't take anything to heart when she was upset. it was her way of getting out all of her angry feelings. "nah, i'm really not. just my girl was upset and it is my duty to make her happy," he said, before pulling her a little closer. he then began listening to why she was so upset. he listened to the words she said and before he could respond she jumped up and bashed her head against the wall. mikey stood up quickly and made his way over to her. "are you all right?" he asked, before taking a look at her head. "be right back," he added, before he headed down to the kitchen and got her a bag of ice. he walked back up into her room and handed her the ice. "you might want this."

Janessa had always been the cheerful and carefree girl eversince she gave up on dancing and had managed to keep away from the spotlight. she was back under the spotlight when her brother became a singer and joined the band. when her brother became famous, she wasn't bothered to see how his fame was effecting her, instead she was there to support him fully. to be known as Mikey's girlfriend was a great change. it gave her a great feeling and he brought all the joy into her life. her father had failed to set a good example for his kids for the future. Janessa was so badly effected that she didn't even believe in marriage anymore. she had decided that she would never marry anyone in her future until mikey came into her life. she openly declared her hate towards marriage that disappointed him at first. later she was convinced by him that if you truly loved someone, marriage only made the relationship stronger and pure. she wanted to marry him someday. everytime she thought of marriage, she thought of mikey next to her. he was her first boyfriend, first kiss and she wanted him to be her first and last. nah, i don't think you can be as bad as me she poked his nose and moved closer. which is exactly why you're the best boyfriend she added and turned around, looking him in the eyes with her hands around his neck, her head resting on his lap. you promise not to leave me, even if I errupt like a volcano in these days? she asked. extremely pissed she punched the wall and groaned in pain. ouch. I think I broke a joint or something she cried, pressing her finger. as he placed the ice, she moaned in pain. i'm so stupid.. o-o-ouch! she pouted her lips and walked over to the bed. you know you should become a doctor because I always end up hurting myself and you're always around to heal me and make me feel better. she smiled. do you remember our first kiss?

mikey's parents were happily married, but he didn't see them often. they didn't want the life he chose for himself, and he wasn't going to change his dreams to make other people happy. when he was a little boy he really looked up to his dad, and he adored how much his father loved his mother, but when it was time for him to face his dreams he had to say goodbye. he never had to watch his parents leave each other, so it made it easier for him to fall for janessa, there was no doubt in his mind not to fall for a girl. just his past kept haunting him. no matter what he did, someone was always bringing up the fact that he use to get around, or carter was trying to break his neck. janessa had told mikey in the past that she never wanted to get married, but he had convinced her that if you really loved someone, then you should marry them. "i wouldn't be too sure of that. just remember that your brother wants to rip my head off almost every second of the day," he said, shaking his head slightly. he kissed her cheek gently before running a hand through her soft curls. "i am just really lucky to have a girl like you. and i promise to never leave you. i couldn't live with myself if i ever lost you. i would be so lost," he spoke. he kept the ice on her to make sure it would help the pain and help the swelling to go down. "my parents wanted me to be a doctor. something other than what i am doing now. it wasn't really the life for me. but i will always be your doctor," mikey smiled. "of course i remember our first kiss. and the time i tried to kiss you and you ran away from me cause you were scared," he grinned.
