For the record, Caitlyn did have money. A lot of it, in fact: she worked as a waitress at the Brass Lantern, and most of her money came from the tips that she had, but it seemed that her soon-to-be stepmother, Crystal, was a little too excited to tell Caitlyn to use her money on anything that her heart desired, and already, she had spent Crystal's money on a new set of colored pencils, a few shirts from Delia's, and a pair of Converse shoes, and two charm bracelets for herself and Daisy that she found at Tiffany's. Of course, being the good person that she is, Caitlyn did feel sort of bad that she was spending a lot of Crystal's money on what she wanted, but if this shopping spree makes Crystal think that she and Caitlyn would be closer, she'll have to think again.

When she thought she had reached her limit (she kept track on how much money Crystal had: it was the least she could do), she saw a dress that had puffy sleeves, and had pink lines that covered a white shirt in a window, and she knew her shopping spree wasn't complete until she had that dress. so, she went into the store to get a closer look at this dress. The bell above her dinged, and she looked over to see an employee looking at her with a smile. Caitlyn smiled back, and then averted her eyes to the dress. It was even pretty up close. "Did you need a room?" a voice asked, and Caitlyn twirled around to see the same employee that had smiled at her when she walked in. Caitlyn nodded as she smiled back. "Yeah, I would like a room, please."

[/color] The woman nodded, and got the dress down from the display. As they were heading towards the dressing rooms, the woman looked at her. "If you need more clothes, or the dress in a different size, just let me know. My name is Brenda, by the way." the woman added, unlocking a door, and Caitlyn nodded. "Thank you. I'll do that."[/color] Then, she went inside, and started to unclothe herself, happy that her shopping spree was finished.

She sort of wondered if she was changing too much for him, did she really need to dress to impress? was she that type of girl? her mother had always told her never to change for anyone. but she wasn’t really changing was she? she was just making herself look more grown up, that was the way she saw it, but Daisy was worried. she knew Caitlyn was still unsure, she could just tell…they were best friends after all. she had even told her not to go and sleep with him. well that wouldn’t happen right now, but if it did happen, that they got together then she would consider it….in fact she probably would do it. she was getting kind of sick of waiting for the right guy, Landon seemed to be the perfect guy in her eyes. Daisy picked up a few dresses and then she went to find her friend.Cait? she called and looked over in the dressing room and slipped into the one she knew Cait was in, it must be her because it was the only one occupied. I totally need your opinion she told her. Daisy wasn’t a selfish person and she would happily do the same for her friend, of course she would do. before doing anything she got out her hand sanitizer and rubbed her hands. what do you think of these? I am going for an older, more sophisticated look she smiled. [/style]

When Caitlyn had the dress on, she twirled around, smiling a little bit. She loved dresses: she liked the casual dress code of t-shirts, jeans, and flip-flops, but there was something about a dress that made you feel like a princess some-how. "Is everything okay? Do you need to try on more?" she heard Brenda call. Caitlyn started to shake her head, but then she realized that Brenda couldn't see her, so she stopped. "No, I don't! Thank you, though!"

[/color] she replied, and then she heard Brenda walking away, she looked at herself in the mirror again.

Suddenly, she heard the door close and open, and Caitlyn gasped a little bit, seeing Daisy's reflection in the mirror. Caitlyn turned around, seeing her friend with loads of dresses in her arms. "Daisy! Does anyone know you're in here?"[/color] she asked, disbelief in her voice. It amazed her that she got past Brenda, when there was probably a rule that only one person could be in a dressing room, unless they were in the handicapped one, which was perfectly fine.

Caitlyn smiled a little bit, and looked at the dresses that Daisy had picked out. She still felt unsure about Daisy and Mr. Carter, but she liked that her friend was so determined to get her noticed by Mr. Carter, and realize she was more than a student. "They are all good choices, Daisy. You always knew what was good when it comes to fashion."[/color] Caitlyn reminded her. She knew Daisy only wanted an second opinion, but Daisy knew what looked good on her and what didn't, but Caitlyn liked it when Daisy asked her for her opinion on clothes, and she knew the clothes that Daisy had would certainly impress Mr. Carter. "When you wear those, Mr. Carter will definitely notice you more."[/color] she added, giving her friend a smile.

Her mom and her spent a lot of money in the store and she could threaten them that they wouldn’t use the store again. it would never happen and Daisy knew it was quite cruel but she’d done it in another store for something else and it had worked. so you think these are more sophisticated? she asked her I mean like the dress and the blazer would go well together right? she made sure to keep her voice down as she knew the store assistant would probably be close by. I think I need to rethink my whole image, sometimes being a little slutty just makes guys expect more from you she said. it was true, Daisy often wore revealing clothes on first dates with guys and they always expected more than just a goodnight kiss. this way when I go on dates they won’t immediately think they will get what they wanted. I will make them work for it and still not give in she giggled. her virginity was something she kept under wraps and didn’t talk about to many people apart from her best friend. people assumed she wasn’t a virgin but it was only Caitlyn that really knew the truth. Daisy smiled widely that is exactly what I want. I don’t want him to see me as a little girl, more of a woman, you know? she smiled a lot of teachers still treat us like we’re five years old, at least he doesn’t do that…..but I want him to see that I am more mature than most of the girls in our grade she nodded. The woman was really excited when she told me I could use the money for whatever I want...speaking of which, I got you a charm bracelet from Tiffany's."

[/color] Caitlyn said, giving her a smile. If she had money to spare, she would certainly buy stuff for her friends, no questions asked. She knew plastic things shouldn't matter when she had been best friends with Daisy for so long, but they always bought things for each other. It was a tradition for them both.

She nodded, looking at the dress and blazer both. "Most definately!"[/color] she replied. Caitlyn knew changing your look to impress a guy wasn't good, but she knew Daisy was only doing it for love, and it wasn't like Mr. Carter told her to change her apperence, it was Daisy's own personal choice. Caitlyn giggled at Daisy's remark, and knew it was true. She wasn't like that, but thankfully the guys she went on dates with never tried anything. "This is true: why do you think a lot of girls are walking down the streets with such little clothing, or revealing clothes?"[/color] She wasn't old-fashioned, but she agreed what Daisy was saying.

Caitlyn wrinkled her nose. "I agree: Mr. Fodness always treated us like kids, and I'm glad Mr. Carter doesn't do that to us."[/color] She was also in Mr. Carter's class, and she had noticed that unlike most teachers, Mr. Carter saw them as students, not little kids.

She smiled Perfect! Daisy said clapping her hands I am going to buy it she said. Daisy worked at one of the designer clothes stores as a store assistant, and was hoping to make her way up to designing some day. that was the plan but her parents wanted to push her into the direction of acting, she had never come right out and told them that she didn’t want to be an actress, but she had never said she did want to be one either. it was more their assumption than anything else, her involvement in school plays and the fact that she loved acting. Daisy certainly wasn’t old fashioned, but she knew what she was saying was true. Unfortunately it was the case, that guys thought girls who dressed in revealing clothing would be up for more. that was never the image she had wanted to give off of herself but obviously that was the way the guys thought. she sighed slightly. nothing was ever easy was it? it was so annoying and irritating that guys thought that because if they didn’t then she would probably keep the look, but that wasn’t what Landon wanted. he seemed to want the more sophisticated look and that was what she was going for now, all because of what he said to her that night when he rescued her from the guy who attacked her. she nodded yeah, Landon treats us like we’re normal….teenagers….grown up even. Caitlyn nodded, agreeing. If Callie was the bitch, then Crystal was the butt kisser, and used it in any way she could. Caitlyn thought honestly it was just a way for her to butter up to her dad when he sees that all of his main girls getting along, but it was a rouse when he finally realizes how wrong he was. "Are you kidding? I'd love it if you attended! Callie is inviting people, so why can't I?"

[/color] she asked, looking at Daisy. She could tell Daisy didn't trust Callie and Crystal, and she knew it was slightly wrong to use Crystal's money, but it was Crystal's choice to entrust Caitlyn with the credit card anyways. "You don't have to thank me: you're my best friend, so I wanted to buy something nice for you."[/color] Caitlyn added.

She smiled when Daisy got excited about buying the dress. "Awesome. Mr. Carter wouldn't know what had hit him."[/color] Caitlyn said. She knew Daisy's true calling was fashion, and was even working at a fashion-related store. Caitlyn would buy all of Dasy's creations when Daisy decides to do her own fashion line, and also because she loved the way Daisy would put together clothes.

Caitlyn could get guys just fine, but once, as a test, she and Daisy had put on revealing clothing, and that gave them the wrong guys who only wanted one thing, and Caitlyn told herself she would never do that again. She didn't know how girls did it, and with her mom hounding her about men, she knew she wouldn't get very far with a guy, if she wanted too. She was glad Daisy was using her mind, and not what a guy wanted. In fact, she was glad that Daisy was crushing on Mr. Carter instead of a random guy who only wanted sex.

"You know, I never say it, but I'm really glad Mr. Carter is your crush, and not just some random guy who only wanted one thing. It could be a lot worse."[/color] Caitlyn told her, looking at her.

"I was hoping to bring Zayden, but I know Callie will object because since she's maid of honor, she acts like she's getting married instead of Crystal. Can you believe that?"[/color] she asked. Or she'll try and steal him from Caitlyn: she'd want to see her try! She nodded. "Hopefully, but she hates our guts, so I don't think she'll even talk to us, unless my dad and Crystal make her."[/color] Caitlyn knew what Callie had tried to do with Daisy, and she acted like a total bitch towards them.

Smiling, Caitlyn hugged Daisy back. "It's nothing. Crystal probably won't get mad at me: she'll probably think it's sweet that I got you something. Besides, it was her poor judgement to give me her credit card, right?"[/color] she asked. True, on the inside, Crystal would probably be mad at what Caitlyn had bought, since the Tiffany charm bracelets were a lot, but on the outside, she'd be happy to see Caitlyn buying a lot of stuff. "Callie can do what she wants, but Crystal will probably just tell her to be nice to me since I'm going to be her future step-sister soon, ugh. But, I have you by my side, so it'll take a lot to make me crack."[/color] Caitlyn told her, smiling.

When Daisy asked her about what she thought, Caitlyn bit her lower lip. She didn't want to be like her mom, and tell Daisy it was wrong. "No. As long as it's your choice, and you're okay with it, and he's not forcing you, then you're not going too far. I trust you, Daisy: I know you'd never do something you weren't comfortable with."[/color] Caitlyn said. There, she was honest, and it's what she thought. She'd always tell Daisy what she thought, even if Daisy would be upset by it, she knew Daisy valued her honesty a lot, and she excepted the same from Daisy: honesty was the best policy besides lying, and Caitlyn was never the one to lie unless she had too. "Well, just be careful, okay? The both of you, I mean. If anyone caught you, Mr. Carter could lose his job because he was in a relationship with a student."[/color] she added.

"who is the victim being dragged against their will down the isle with Callie then?" she smirked. that wasn't the nicest thing she could say but she didn't care. Callie wasn't nice so she didn't see why she would have to tone it down with her. "oh she can try, doesn't mean that she would succeed." "yeah you're right" she smiled. It made sense because Crystal didn't have to do all that for her but she did, and Daisy thought that it was in all the wrong intentions and that she had the wrong attitude. If Crystal got mad, she would happily back her friend up because she had a right, and she was pretty much right with what she was saying. she knew that Crystal was doing all of what she was doing to make Crystal be on her good side. basically a bribe, but that didn't mean that she actually had to like her. just act like she's your best friend, then she'll soon forgive you. she smiled "Callie is fake, she'll act like your best friend but then bitch and tell all your secrets to everyone" Daisy said bitterly. Callie and Daisy was never her best friend or anything, but in junior high, they had been kinda close until Callie spilled her secrets, that was the last time she told anyone but Cait her secrets. Caitlyn laughed at Daisy's statement. "I think Crystal said that Callie could bring her own date, so she's walking with him. She gets away with everything."

Callie's date wasn't too bad looking, but he was one of the nicest guys ever, so she couldn't understand why he would want to be Callie's date, but she had to admit that Callie was really pretty, even if she wasn't one of the nicest people alive. It just made Caitlyn sick to her smotach that people would actually think that people like Callie could get anything she wanted, and there were people like her and Daisy who had to work for it (well, Daisy didn't have to work, but whatever).

She nodded at what Daisy was saying. It was true, Crystal didn't have give her the credit card, but it was Crystal's own choice, and telling her to buy things with her money. Caitlyn always wanted to tell her dad what Crystal was doing, but then if she said anything, her dad would just say that Crystal was being nice, and Caitlyn didn't want to make her dad upset, so she didn't. "I know: I want to tell my dad this, but even though I'm mad at him for leaving my mom with Crystal, I still love him, and I don't want to upset him."[/color] Caitlyn said, frowning. She knew Callie and Daisy were friends, and once Callie told Daisy's secrets to everyone at school, their friendship was over. "Believe me, Callie and I are enemies. We'll be friends for the sake of our parents' wedding, but we'll be enemies behind their backs."[/color] Caitlyn told her.

Caitlyn gave Daisy a small smile. "Hopefully."[/color] At first, she didn't really approve of Daisy and Mr. Carter's relationship, but then she realized how much Mr. Carter meant to Daisy, so she decided to support her friend, no matter what. She nodded. "Well, that's good. I don't want anything bad happening to you two."[/color] she replied.
