All she did was write or record, she didn’t even have time to have dinner with her family. It has been a rough couple of months. It was like her world was coming all together and she was going to have her happy ending. Today, she had her day off, she totally thought she deserved it. She pulled her car at the park. It was the peace and quiet that she needed. Taking her guitar from the back seat and her lyric books, she headed to the place she always came when she was sad or just needed to have some time alone. She smiled to herself as she spotted that no one was around, and she was free to do as much noise as she needed. She had some songs she wanted to try and give some harmony too, but she was kind of afraid. She was afraid someone would hear her. She didn’t like that people heard her song before it was completely ready. Putting her stuff on the ground, she took a few steps and she was closer to the edge of the pond. It was so beautiful, it was always carefully taken cared off and some ducks swam across it. She smiled at it as she filled her lungs with fresh air. Damn, it seemed like it has been forever since she had been in a place that had this kind of fresh air. The inspiration was coming to her, this place was like a sanctuary for her. Zandra remembered than whenever she was having a bad day or whenever her disease caused a problem she would come here and just vent to the trees and grass. She didn’t have many friends, even though she tried, her disease made her lose most of them. High school was one of the hardest times for her, she never felt more ‘out’ in her whole life. Moving back to the grassy part, she sit down on the ground with her legs crossed under her, she picked the guitar and put it on her lap. Taking her lyrics book, she opened on a random page, it read ‘say okay’. It was an old song, she was still deciding if she was going to put it in her album or not. It was a beautiful song, it was about her. How she was scared of finding a guy because she was scared of being hurt. She was still like that and she wasn’t going to change. Taking a deep breath, she started to strum the guitar a little bit, she sang the chorus. So tell me when it's not alright When it's not OK Will you try to make me feel better? Will you say alright? (say alright) Will you say OK? (Say OK) Will you stick with me through whatever? Or run away (Say that it's gonna be alright. That it's gonna be OK) Say OK. By the time she finished, her eyes were all watery, her heart aching a bit and her hands trembling a bit. This song said so much to her, she couldn’t ignore any of it. It was like ignoring what your stomach wanted, it’s an hopeless case. Cleaning her eyes, she sniffled a bit and just started to sing the chorus again. She couldn’t get tired of that song. notes // blah blah blah! |
