Caitlyn smiled as she sat down at a table, taking in the view. Instead of being in town, or at her house, she decided to come the recreation center, where she could sketch in peace. She even thought of bringing her two dogs to the recreation center, but decided against it. While she loved both of her dogs dearly, it would be too much work, and she wouldn't get any work done, and one of them was still a puppy (Baylor) while the other one was slightly old, and wouldn't be able to keep up (Chip).
She dug into her bag, and got out her sketch-pad, and her colored pencils, which were binded by several rubber bands. Then, she opended to the sketch she was on, and got right to work. The sketch she was working on was a sketch of her parents, when they were young, and in love. Caitlyn sighed, and started to color her mother's hair black. She had gotten this sketch-pad as a present from her grandmother Dorothy, who was her dad's mom. It was meant for her fifteenth birthday (or known to Mexican girls as a Quincenra, coming of age), but Dorothy died several days after her birthday, and Caitlyn never touched it until she met her soon-to-be stepmother and soon-to-be stepsister, and suddenly, she was drawing them meeting their fate in shark-feasted water.
She put the black pencil back, and took out a purple one, tilting it to it's side so the tip stayed sharp, and colored her mother's dress. Caitlyn found out once she looked at a picture, she can see it perfectly, and could draw it just as good, and she felt good about it, because no one in her family could draw, and that made her happy, because she knew drawing was her thing, and no one else's.
