the campus was busy with people moving about to try and get to class to class. saige had just finished with her music studies class and had this awkward lull between her next class. she usually killed time by sitting in the middle of campus and smoked while reading. today, she decided to do something different. she headed towards the library to look for someone or something to entertain her. when saige wasn't high, she was a boring person. she was a flat line on a heart rate monitor. when she was under the influence, she was an upbeat hummingbird, striking up conversations wherever she went. she hated being sober, she had come to class high a few times and no one had caught her. when she was sober, it allowed her real thoughts to stray through. those thoughts depressed her and were usually about her past. as saige kept walking, she tried her hardest not to make eye contact with anyone. she just wanted to get through today and get home to where all her stuff was.
as she entered the library, she realized how quiet it was. it was perfect. she had only been to the library once, that was in her first year of college. as she made her way over to the fantasy section, she looked over the harry potter books. her mind raced to the time she and her cousins had went to go see the first one in theaters. they were all so young but they all were enchanted by the whole movie. she had raced home that day and bought the book and read it in a matter of hours. she loved harry potter and would always remember the fond memories she shared with the golden trio. she picked up the first book and turned it over. she couldn't help but feel someone was watching her. she looked up and saw a male with light brown hair and bright eyes looking at her. saige looked at him blankly for a second before returning to read the back of the book, "uhh, can i.. help you?" she asked her face still looking at the bottom of the book. saige was the type of person who spoke her mind, didn't care what people thought of it either. "you've got quite a gaze there." saige said, finally looking up slightly before cocking an eyebrow. her eyes fell back to the book.
ooc - hope this is okay!

Wesley loved the library, it was the one place that he could just sit between classes and read when he just wasn't ready to go home or he couldn't go home because there was hardly any point since his next class was just an hour away. He always did find it pointless to run home when he would have to come back here shortly after anyway so he tried to find things to do to occupy his time for that hour or two hours before his next class instead. Normally the one place he went was to the library to read, he loved to read and wasn't afraid to admit that he really could be a little bit of a nerd. Even as a little kid he always knew just what he wanted his future to be like, and he had everything mapped out so he could meet his goals on time. He had wanted to be a lawyer since he was twelve and that was just what he was studying to be now in college, and he strives to get good grades and studied hard because he wanted to prove to people that he could succeed even though people never did doubt him. It was a lot more that he wanted to prove it to his self, because even though other people thought he could succeed he really did seem to think that he couldn't and sometimes that just really got him pretty down and made him feel awful about himself which was a way he shouldn't have to feel.
The library was a large library too which just made things so much better, he loved to just go and get lost in the aisles of books as he tried to pick out the perfect one and right now he was on his way to the fantasy section of books to see if there was anything interesting. As he wandered into the section he glanced around, the place smelled like paper and old books and he just loved that smell for some reason. He took a deep breath and sighed before looking through the titles of books on the shelf in front of him trying to find anything new, this was always the problem when you read to much. You ended up having nothing else to read since none of the other books really seemed to be books that you were interested in, and he didn't always want to reread books. There was only one books series that he could do that with, and that was Harry Potter, which seemed to remind him. He looked over to where he knew those books were and blinked when he saw a slightly familiar face. Saige Wagner, the one girl he really wished he didn't see. It wasn't that he didn't like her, in fact it was the exact opposite since he had been basically in love with her for years and now here she was again and she was talking to him.
He had no idea what to say, so he just seemed to stand there for a moment with his mouth opened before he closed it and just swallowed. "Oh uh no, I'm sorry. I just, Harry Potter is my favorite series and it's really cool that you are, well you know. It's cool that you like it too" he said his tone awkward and as if he really didn't know what to say and he really didn't either. He just had to say something and that sounded like a pretty good thing to say, and true too. Gosh he could really be such an idiot sometimes.

whenever saige wasn't high or waiting for her next fix, she would be reading. she was nearly always trying to scrape money to get her next high.. reading was just a cheaper method to escaping the real world. saige always just wanted to get away from her real life. she just didn't like her own thoughts, they nearly always ate her alive. one of her favourite series was harry potter. she had read them at least three times and she was heading for her fourth time. no one knew that saige was a closet geek. on the outside, she was a grunge girl who no one messed with. everyone knew her as the girl who was easy to get with, easy to forget. she had a bad past and was destined for a bad future. the fuel to her fire was the fact her mother had hung herself when she was thirteen. that was when she had started this onslaught of self-destruction. all her friends disappeared when she started drugs, smoking, and partying... she had no one close to her anymore and all she really wanted was to be saved.
as she looked up at the light-browned nearly blonde male, she looked at his huge eyes. boy, did he have nice eyes. saige was a sucker for guys with nice eyes. although, she never has been in love, she sure did wish to know that feeling before she died. she wanted a love like ron and hermione's, one that grew over time. they were both friends at first but they knew that had that connection with each other. it was like they knew there was no one else out there for them. saige giggled at the boy's awkward tone, he sure was a lost for words. maybe if saige wasn't so blunt he wouldn't have been caught off guard, that was just who she was. "oh, don't be sorry. i love harry potter too." saige said quietly, she smiled quickly before it disappeared. she felt exhausted from a night of chills, she was trying to get clean once again.. she knew it wouldn't work. "what's your favourite book in the series?" saige asked looked through the bookcase at the young man. "by the way, i'm saige, saige wagner." she introduced herself, smiling before letting it disappear once again.
