James had wanted to show his brothers a good time on their first night in Los Angeles and had taken them to one of the clubs there. They'd arrived at shortly after 7 pm and, after a few hours, all of them but James had cleared out of the corner booth they'd been drinking at either by taking a girl home with them or moving out onto the dance floor in hopes of sleeping with a girl. The Morrissey brothers were all similar in what they valued most in life being money, power, and beautiful women. The order of which depended on the given situation they were in which, at the club, meant women. The young Irish mobster had his eye on a few girls that were dancing on the floor, but opted to sit still and finish his martini while thinking about how to best take the city over. He figured he'd start with a nightclub and was still deciding whether to purchase one that was already established or construct a new one then force the others out of business or into a joint agreement with him; therefore, he was going to make a huge turnover either way.
If one were to look closely at the dance floor, they'd notice the bodyguards standing not too far from their employers and James' seat in the corner was no exception. While he could handle himself, his eldest brother, Peter, insisted on the necessity of guards to keep an eye out for any attempts on their lives. Since he was the boss of the whole organization with James only having free reign over Los Angeles, he didn't feel the need to disagree nor cause trouble with his alcoholic of an older brother. Instead, he occasionally glanced at the two men seated on either side of him and shook his head though sighed after another sip from the martini glass, "Would you two go get a drink or something? You're killing me here! I'm not gonna get any tonight with you two goons sitting her giving every decent girl the stink eye."
It was partly true, but mostly because James was confident in his abilities to handle himself and preferred to sit alone. The man reached into his coat pocket and handed the men about three hundred dollars each to drink with and motioned them over to the bar. The two looked at one another, then shrugged and took the money before moving over to the bar for some drinks, leaving their boss alone for the time being. Luckily for all three of them, Peter had been the one to leave with a girl and wasn't going to know, despite the fact he was married with children. James unbuttoned his coat and scooted down a bit in the seat for comfort, finishing up the martini and ordering another as the girl passed by while running a hand through his hair, combing the dance floor again.

She had loads of friends and loads of people who would want to be around her, some of them were fake, but right now she didn’t care because she wanted to get drunk, Riley still hadn’t contacted her but she was acting like she didn’t care and partying all night every night. Mostly with Blair, her best friend but tonight she was on her own. Brooke looked around to see if there was anyone worth talking to but she couldn’t see anyone as of right now.
Some guy smiled at her and she rolled her eyes Why don’t you just take a picture she said to him I want to buy you a drink he grinned at her Yeah? I’m bored with you already, so I guess that answers your question she smirked at him and walked away. He was cute but she wasn’t going to accept a drink from him because then he would probably expect something more from her, something much more that she wasn’t willing to give to him. Therefore she wasn’t going to accept drinks from any strangers tonight.
Walking away she got lots of looks and whispers but she really wasn’t bothered by it at all. she was used to people being like that around her. It was sad that they had to be like that, it was so boring that they tired with her over and over again….well some of them anyway. She looked at some other guy and smiled at him as she went to the bar, he then must have thought that was an invitation to join her because that was exactly what he did. hmm, did I say you could join me? she raised her eyebrow No, but the look you gave me suggested it he smirked You were wrong, can you just leave? she said to him. seriously……just go. You are just looking so hot. Bartender, I will have a beer and give the girl a cosmo he said confidently. I don’t drink cosmo she lied and pushed the drink back, walking away.
She saw someone she knew looking into the crowd of the people dancing and walked over Hey she smiled and went to hug him. I’ve been looking all over for you. She looked at him and nodded subtly as if to say just go with it. She looked over her shoulder and watched the guy walk away and she sighed with relief. I’m sorry, he was just really annoying me she said rolling her eyes That’s what you get for being one half of Hollywood’s hottest couple who aren’t actually together right now, or we are….I have no idea she shook her head. Anyway, thanks she smiled How are you?

The martini arrived not too long after he'd asked for it and he smiled with a soft nod at the young woman in thanks then tipped her fifty bucks before his gaze went back to the dance floor. His men were having a good time and he didn't feel the need to cut the evening short, even if he didn't get any company for the night as they deserved to have some down time with what they did day to day. He liked the club scene and always had, even before hooking back up with his brothers and joining in their criminal enterprise but there was something about wearing an Armani suit and taking a corner booth that made people stare but also avoid him. It didn't take a genius to figure out what he was with the guards that had been hanging around, even if the way he was dressed didn't factor in, but he figured that had to be at least one girl in the crowd that didn't care about talking to a gangster.
As he drew his martini glass up to his lips, allowing the ice cold liquid to slide slowly down his throat after a sip, he noticed a dress approaching him. He sat the glass down and looked up to the woman's face as to best identify what was coming at him and why. He recognized her, thus making her approach less alarming and he waved his men off who had suddenly turned to look at their boss wandering if trouble was afoot. She went to hug him and James wasn't one to refuse a hug from a beautiful lady and returned it with a soft smile at her nod. The man noticed the guy walking away and chuckled a bit before turning back to Brookella.
"Guys tend to see anything with two legs and a vagina to be available in places like this, even if you tell em ya aren't," he replied while relaxing back in the booth and motioning to the other side across from him for her to sit. "But it seem that you aren't quite sure where your relationship stands? Sorry to hear that, but isn't that how couples go most of the time?"
The Irishman took another sip of the martini and nodded in response to her thanks for his help, though it was more her than him. All he'd done was return a hug but he'd take the gratitude where he could find it. "I'm doing very good, actually. My time away in New York opened my eyes to some business opportunities around here and I'm looking to invest." James sat down the glass on the table and shook his head at Ryan who was making vulgar signs with his hands and pelvis from across the room after noticing his brother had company. He had to laugh as the redhead was drunk, but it really was no different than usual since he'd been doing that for years dating back to when they were kids. Even so, Ryan was his favorite brother and he'd literally do anything for him; however, he'd do mostly anything for all of his family, but Ryan was closer to him than anyone other than Monica, and so he felt a closer connection.
"And how about you," he asked her turning his blue eyes on her, "other than being hit on by drunken jerks and in a rut relationship wise? Want a drink?" He raised his brows in interest while motioning toward the bar letting her know he'd pay for anything she wanted and, while she was breath-takingly beautiful, he wasn't going to just start mauling her face over it or anything of that sort. All the same, he wouldn't turn down an invitation either. It was just the type of man he was.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]cos baby you're a firework Brooke smiled slightly. I am used to it she rolled her eyes playfully. She looked over at some other guy who was clearly looking her over and waved with a smile. I kinda like it too, some of the time she smirked. There was a time and a place for it, well it was more the person….if they weren’t hot enough or just too persistent, she didn’t like it….but often it was just fun and harmless like she was being with him. Of course she wouldn’t do anything with him, okay maybe harmless flirting, a little teasing….a kiss…well she didn’t know, she did know that she would have to be a lot more drunk than she was right now, a lot more drunk. She had never had fun like that though and she’d always been in a relationship. She didn’t want people to think she was cheating with someone else as well as Lucas, but they already thought that she was cheating on him anyway so what did it matter? It mattered to her, but if she was even thinking of doing anything with someone else she’d do it somewhere private because that was how she rolled.
She then took a seat in the booth with him. She frowned slightly I don’t like people making assumptions about my relationship she told him, frowning I would rather not think or talk about that she told him. I don’t see how it is anyone elses business but my own. You can get me another drink though, champagne? she smiled. Brooke knew she would usually get her own way. With her looks she could manipulate just about any male to do what she wanted them to do. She couldn’t say that she was proud of that a lot of the time, but it got her what she wanted so she didn’t mind all that much.
Well, that sounds good then she smiled at him. Does that mean that you will be around here more now? She asked him. She didn’t know what business he was into but he didn’t really mind. She looked over to where James was looking and laughed, then went back to looking at him. Looks like your friend thinks you’re gonna get lucky tonight she said with a smirk and in a teasing tone. She didn’t really care if she was going to be leading him on, he should probably know that she wouldn’t go that far with him but she was bored, and she hadn’t been with Riley in that sense since before they’d had their argument, it was only human of her that she wanted to have a bit of fun to take the edge of herself and what she was feeling and she was finding it difficult.
Well as far as I go…. she sighed Yeah….I’m okay she nodded and ignored the comment about her being in a rut relationship. Drunken guys hitting on me, not so fun. They obviously think they can get some and then they’ll brag to all their pathetic little friends that they slept with me she rolled her eyes. They are so fucking transparent and it annoys the shit outta me she said rolling her eyes. Luckily I am in good company now she smiled at him.

James always found it amazing how those who were movie stars often had the look of such a position, complete with smile, hair and clothing. Brooke's teeth were perfect and he'd swear her smile could light up a room which did make the dark corner he was sitting in that evening a bit more enjoyable. He took another sip of the martini, having lost track how many he'd had that evening and figuring that it didn't really matter at that point but rather than dwell on it, he stiffled a chuckle while sitting the glass down, "I'd be surprised if you didn't like it at least a little. Everyone likes to be desired - within a certain limitation, at least. Obsession isn't good for anyone." In his time, he'd had his share of both sides of the spectrum with being desired and desiring others, though could honestly say his desire never went beyond simple sexual desire that was short lived once that desire had been fulfilled. James had never and would never obsess over any woman since he felt no one was worth so much work that it gave him a headache to even hook up with them. He'd just as soon pass on and move to the next hot piece of ass.
"Fair enough," he replied calmly and added, "your business is your own, just be sure to keep it out of the public eye, otherwise it could end up on that God-awful gossip blog." The young mobster hated idle gossip regardless, but even more so when it was posted for the entire world of Los Angeles to see. A man in his unique position couldn't afford to ever show up in such a blog and would likely spend a lot of money to track down and kill the poster should he come up in a bad light or attract attention from law enforcement. He would never say such things out loud and most people just saw him as a stuck up, womanizing businessman rather than the truth of the cold-blooded killer that he could be when the situation warranted. James smiled and waved over the waitress to inform her of Brooke's drink choice before returning to his own drink. "Champagne... the drink of the elite, romantic and devious. Which are you, I wonder?" It was a rhetorical question as he had a pretty good idea but found himself smiling teasingly after sitting his drink back down.
James nodded at her question of his being in Los Angeles more with his new business plans. He had no inentions of leaving the city with what he had in mind and would likely only do so if business called him to New York to report on the progress of development to his brother. While he was officially the boss on the West Coast, he still had to report to the boss of his entire organization which happened to be Peter once he decided to return to New York - if he decided to return to New York, that is. "The City of Angels is now my home. I plan on being here for a long time. It's easier to keep track of how things are going, too." He couldn't help but laugh at her mention of Ryan, “I don’t see why tonight would be any different than the past ten years. That’s one of my brothers and he’s always thinking I’ll get lucky, but granted, I do.” James could recognize her tone and fired back with his own little tease.
“You look okay,” he remarked with obvious sarcasm since she really didn’t but he knew that the last thing Brooke wanted or needed was someone else bluntly pointing out that she didn’t look okay. “I hate when people brag about their success in bed. I see no need to brag. I sleep with a girl, then that’s that. She and I both know what happened. No one else deserves to.” Following her remark about how she was in good company, he returned her smile and raised his glass in appreciation before taking a sip.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]cos baby you're a firework well yes she smiled it is very satisfying to know when people want you and you don't want them she smirked. It was true though, it kind of gave her satisfaction to reject guys so easily. Either because they just weren't her type, weren't attractive or because she just didn't want to bother. Then there was the issue of her being with Riley. Although they were on a break right now, she still didn't want to be that girl who cheated, it would be like Blair said, how Ross and Rachel were. There was no way she would let that happen, or at least she would try not to let it happen. She was a lightweight ands he kind of took advantage of that. She liked the fact that she could get drunk easily, it meant that it cost less on a night out, not that she ever had to pay for her own drink, She honestly could not remember the last time she had to pay for a drink in a bar or club, or anywhere for that matter. To be honest she didn't think she ever had paid for her own drinks in a bar or club because there was always someone willing to pay for them, or she got them on the house because of who she was. There were a lot of perks to being famous, along with the not so great things.
I've already been a victim of the gossip blog, she is bound to write all sorts about me now. She can say I'm a cheat, I don't care anymore, what pisses me off most is people actually believe that, so yeah. He asked her what she was out of romantic, elite or devious and she looked at him and smiled coyly hmm which do you think she smiled at him. Personally she had never been the romantic type, so she would probably consider herself both elite and devious. She couldn't deny herself being famous with the amount if attention she got. She couldn't deny that she thought it was weird, but she had gotten used to it by now and was quite happy to talk to fans and sign autographs, answering questions about her personal life however, was a definite no. Now devious was an interesting one, because she would probably deny it to some people, but she definitely was....especially with her best friend, there was no doubt she knew was she was getting herself in for when they went on their crazy adventures.
Oh well that sounds like a good idea then she smiled. Brooke didn't know much about James. They had met in a nightclub when she was out with her friends and they had lost each other. James had been charming enough by getting her a drink and keeping her company. She'd thought he was good looking but she wouldn't have done anything. Even tonight, she had Riley as a thought in the back of her mind. She missed sex, but she didn't really want to be seen as a cheap hook up because she wasn't that type of girl, but the fact she hadn't slept with Riley for more than a week proved to be getting to her way more than she thought it would. They'd had a very healthy sex life and that was what she missed, and the connection she had with him. Brooke sighed thinking about it. She raised her eyebrow with what he said about his brother really? she asked moving closer to him and what would you have to say about that she asked looking at him with a seductive look and bit her lip.
She frowned slightly i'm fine she lied. It was so obvious as well. She nodded Exactly. Though girls usually tell their best friends, just saying she shrugged but the point I'm making is that they would think they were like, the king of sex if they slept with me, like the ultimate conquest she said. This may have seemed big headed but it was probably in fact very true.
