being far away from everyone that she wanted to be around was hard for bethany. she couldn't wait until the day where she could pick up and move back to california, around all her friends that she use to have, and her cousins. but since her dad had gotten a job in seattle a year ago, she had been in seattle, washington until she could make enough money to get out. and there was the problem that she hadn't graduated high school yet. but she was planning on doing that. only a few more weeks and she was done, then she could try and bribe her parents to allow her to attend college in los angeles. but, for right now she was going to have to make do, and try to have in seattle. which was partially why she agreed to show james around town. all for the price of a simple iced coffee, which was the best payment in bethany's eyes.
it always took bethany a really long time to pick out an outfit - after all she was a fashion blogger, and she always needed to look good. after taking around twenty minutes just to pick what shirt she was going to wear, she took a lot less time deciding on a pair of jeans and boots to wear with it. she looked at the clock and noted that she had twenty minutes before she was meeting the boy at starbucks, where they would start off their day fueling on coffee. she grabbed a jacket and slung it over the side of her arm, before putting her phone and sunglasses in her big purse she carried around everywhere. the coffee place was only a few blocks down the road, so she always walked there. once they met up they could take public transportation to the places that he wanted to see, there was no need to take a car, especially when she felt like it was a waste of gas. plus, she didn't know this guy. it was better to get to know him before she was alone with him in a car. once she was ready she headed to starbucks, humming herself a tune as she walked. it was a beautiful day out, she was glad the weather had decided to cooperate. when she reached the place where she spent hours drinking coffee and blogging, she sat over at a table in the corner, waiting for james to arrive.

It was nice to finally be able to fly first class on his own dime rather than having some agent pay for it due to a potential acting gig that never seemed to work out. His trip to New York had been extremely profitable after working with his brothers. It had begun as a simple search for information about Phill's sister but had turned into something so much better following the family reunion. James discovered how well his brothers had done since he'd last seem them two years before and how the family business expanded to most of New York that wasn't controlled by the Italians. New York was just the start, though; once his brothers came to the West Coast and let James use some of the family money to go with his own plan for income and rackets, then they'd be rolling in more money than they could possibly imagine and money was the name of the game. He still loved his brothers, even beyond the cash, but the money sure as hell helped make family gatherings more civil so long as everyone was earning.
Once the plane touched down in Seattle, James stepped off and made his way out of the terminal, adjusting his tie once outside the building. He had his meeting spot and time, but was still shocked at how cheap a tour of such a massive city turned out to be with a single iced coffee. The Irish gangster wasn't one to complain as it saved him the trouble of forking over cash money and made the day a bit more relaxed. The fact that she was Sophia's cousin had been bugging James for the first hour into his trip, but he'd pushed any doubt aside and figured he'd be on his best behavior and a true gentleman. This was all an attempt to make the day more pleasant but also to make Sophia look like even more of a bitch if and when she said otherwise concerning James' personality. It was a win-win for him in general as he didn't tend to enjoy losing very well.
He got into the black Lincoln town car that waited for him which his brothers had arranged prior to his leaving New York, then he set off for the Starbucks. While on the way there, he found himself looking out the window at the surrounding city, amazed at the potential that was hidden there. Most likely, the area already belonged to someone, but he had seen Peter come to some pretty tough agreements with the Italians in NYC that most any other gangster wouldn't be able to pull off. Once the car pulled up to the coffee shop, the driver opened his door letting him out which prompted James to tip the man with six crisp, clean one-hundred dollar bills. After being thanked by the man, James headed into the shop, and spotted Bethany before moving over toward her with a warm, friendly smile, "Good morning. I just want to thank you again for offering to give me a tour around the city. I much appreciate your hospitality."
