Alex had been speaking to Riley, like he usually did, he and Riley had been friends for a while, he was his best guy friend and the two liked to hang out and have a few beers. He was also around whenever Riley was having difficulty with his girlfriend; he would give him advice and help take the edge of things. He just wanted to be a good friend that was all. He considered himself a good friend, a really good friend because he gave good advice and tried to stay neutral, but occasionally he couldn’t, just because Riley was his best friend and as his best friend he decided they would go to a strip club, because he knew it would take the edge off and also because he knew it would piss Brooke off if she found out.

It wasn’t that Alex didn’t like Brooke, but he believed that he could do better. Yes, she was beautiful but she was a party girl and who knew what she got up to when she went out with her friends, especially her best friend, Blair. He just did not trust her and now he had read all about Lucas and Brooke he didn’t trust her even more. He probably wasn’t the best person to be talking to Riley at the moment but he needed to get his view across, and he knew Riley would want to have a drink, and not be alone.

He decided to get a cab to the bar so that he could get one back, then he could drink as much as he liked and if he saw someone he liked the look of he could just maybe go back with them, not that he wanted to hook up with a stripper, and he didn’t think many girls would be there. He wasn’t the type who slept with girls and didn’t call them back, he always would do, but then it just wouldn’t work out. He just wanted to have the right girl to take out to dinner and make sure that she had a good time, and that was hard to find. He wasn’t to know that the right girl was someone he already knew.

He saw Riley and waved him over hey man he said How are things? He didn’t ask how he was because he knew he must be feeling pretty shitty. He didn’t really know whether him and Brooke had broken up or were just in a fight or what. They had done this before a few times and always got back together, but it had never been over something like this. Great view huh?

A lot has happened to Riley in these past few days, and he just wanted to lay low. That's why he was planning on meeting up with Alex, one of his best guy friends besides Colton. Sure, he liked hanging out with Brooke, but sometimes he needed some time with his guys, so he was pretty happy to see Alex when Riley walked into the strip club. Riley smiled. "Hey, Alex. Things have been good."[/color] he replied. "How about for you?"[/color] he asked in return.

Usually, strip clubs weren't his thing, and Brooke was willing to strip for him if he wanted her too (which would be great for any other guy, but Riley liked being a gentle-man), but tonight maybe it'll help him get his mind off of Lucas and Brooke's supposed relationship. Even though Brooke had said there was nothing between them, Riley doubted her a little bit. Every guy wanted Brooke, and Riley didn't deny it. He told her a thousand times that she could be with any guy she wanted, but she always reported that he was the only guy for her. So, why doubt her? And this was Hollywood, after all. People make stuff up, wether you're a normal person, or a celebrity of some sorts.

Riley nodded as he smiled again. "The view is great."[/color] The statement came out kind of forced, though, and Riley kept looking back to see if Brooke would burst through the doors of the strip club, and drag him back to the house.

He smiled Well that’s good to hear, considering everything he shrugged. He was glad that he wasn’t too torn up about the fact that Brooke wasn’t around. He had been told that much and he would do whatever he could to make sure Riley made the right choice, or what he thought was the right choice. Okay he was being selfish, he kind of wanted his friend single so that he could go out with him more. He wasn’t going to share that fact though, he was happy being here and especially at the strip club. He came here a little bit but it was more fun coming with a friend. oh me? I'm fine...yeah.

He heard Riley say that the view was great and didn’t really believe him. Yeah it is….it really is he told him. I don’t believe you though he said watching him look at the door who you waiting for? he asked him. He then grabbed a waitress and ordered some shots, they were going to have a great night and Riley would forget all about Brookella Cooper. He rolled his eyes by just the thought of her. He really did not like her, and what made him like him even less was that he didn’t like her friend, and he had to work with the girl too, nightmare!

Look I know you love her and all, but maybe this is the last straw he said This could have been what you needed to escape her. I mean you fight all the time, it could be that you just aren’t meant to be together. I mean she is smoking hot, she probably did cheat on you….I mean no offence man, she just acts like that kind of person, she has probably cheated on you loads of times you just don’t even know it. That was his honest opinion, he really believed that was true.

Just think, you’re here in a strip club surrounded by beautiful women, you aren’t tied down right now, even if you are with Brooke your not with her because you are fighting, why not just try out someone different, she never has to know….she never will know if you don’t tell her he shrugged. Okay so that wasn’t exactly good advice he was giving but he believed it to be the right option, he really should just get with someone else to make him get over her. If you want to get over someone, the best way is to get someone under you….get what I mean? he smirked.

Riley obviously knew that Brooke wasn't Alex's favorite person in the world (and Alex wasn't Brooke's favorite person). He knew the strip club was a rouse to make him forget about Brooke for one night, but he couldn't get the image of Brooke out of his head if she found out that he and Alex were at a strip club, and he was surrounded around other girls that did lap dances around a pole, or even on guys like himself and Alex. Alex's beliefs on love were different than his, but Alex was his best friend, and Riley was going to have a good time, wether he liked it or not.

He pursed his lips together as the waitress gave them shots, and he took one, gulping it down and slamming down on the table. "No one."[/color] he said, but his actions spoke louder than words. Usually this one be the time that he would make a joke (he only did that if he was nervous), but then Alex would call him out on it, but he didn't want to say "Brooke", which was the last word that Alex wanted to hear tonight. "Absolutely no one."[/color] Riley added, givng his friend a half-smile.

What Alex was saying was what he had heard a million times: that's why he liked his private life private. No one knew what happened behind closed doors besides his family, friends, and of course, Brooke. But, what was Alex telling the truth? Would Brooke cheat on him, if she had the chance? Probably. "Maybe, but I want to hear it from Brooke, too. I've heard it too many times from sources that aren't so reilable."[/color] Riley told him. After all, when Riley and Brooke would fight, he would always tell her there could be another guy to make her happy besides him.

Riley smirked too. If the gossip magazines didn't get a hold of this, then Brooke didn't have to know that he was with another woman. An image of Brooke crying and yelling him popped into his mind, but he shook his head, and erased the image. "You're right: what she doesn't know won't kill her."[/color] he said.

Good he smiled Glad to hear it. He didn’t know if he fully believed it but he would give him the benefit. He was here wasn’t he? Brooke didn’t seem to have the reins on him this time even if they weren’t together. There had been times when they had fallen out but he usually never even went anywhere near another girl, never mind a stripper. It was funny to think that now he wasn’t being controlled by her he was doing what any normal guy would do. It made sense for him to be like that but Riley just never saw it like that. He usually only had eyes for Brooke.

And you can really believe what she says? he asked her Didn’t she tell you before she left to go to lunch with him that they weren’t sleeping together? I think she was lying. Sorry dude, I just don’t believe her. But if you WANT to believe her then that is fine, it’s cool. he nodded. He could be weak if he wanted to but he was going to try and make him see that he didn’t have to be weak. He could make his own stupid mistakes if he wanted to though.

So, shall I pay for a lapdance for both of us? he smirked. Alex didn’t even wait for an answer though; he just summoned two girls over and paid them so they could give each of them what they wanted. He smirked as the girl went over to Riley. Maybe he would pay her extra to make her spill about the lapdance she gave him….and more. That would be enough to make Brooke leave him surely. He knew it was evil, but something about her just made him that way. He was always like that around her. Once the girls were done he smirked, looking at Riley. So, how was that for you? he asked her. See anyone you like around here? he asked with another smirk.

Sure, it seemed like Brooke was one of those controlling girlfriends, but when they would take a break from each other, Riley would still be faithful to her. Any guy that was in his place would fully take this chance, and have the time of his life, not worrying about his girlfriend, but Riley was no normal guy. If he was in a relationship, he would think about his actions, and think about how they would affect his relationship with Brooke: if she knew about his outing with Alex, that is.

Riley nodded as he looked at Alex. "Of course I do. What's a relationship without trust?"[/color] he asked. He knew from his parents' relationship that honesty and trust were very important things, and he liked that his and Brooke's relationship had those very same elements, even if they aren't together now. But, now that his parents are divorced, he didn't want his relationship with Brooke to end in rubble like his parents' had.

What guy didn't want a girl to strip for him? Even if he was faithful, there was a good chance that the girl in front of him was doing her job right. Of course, he gave her money, but maybe paying her to spill the beans about this wouldn't go after so well. Brooke wouldn't appericate hearing about how another girl gave Riley a lapdance when it wasn't her. When Alex asked him if he saw anyone that he liked, his eye caught a leggy blonde that could probably bend more ways than one. "The blonde one looks promising..how about you?"[/color] he asked, giving Alex a smirk.
