Far too many things had happened to James during the past week alone that he'd just literally stopped caring about what the future held for him. He'd finished classes, fallen for a girl he'd set up with someone else, and gotten so pissed drunk that he literally urinated on a police squad car just to have the cops chase him. The first two he could deal with but the last one had landed him in jail for the night but he'd luckily managed to get out on bail with two of his older brothers pulling some strings to keep heat off him. While he hadn't always seen eye-to-eye with Michael or Peter, they were still family and had all robbed a bank with their other brother, Ryan so they had a bond in terms of helping one another when it came to the law.

Realizing why he swore off emotions, he figured it best to ignore the girl totally and focus on other things when a golden opportunity landed right in his lap from his friend, Phill. He'd been offered half a million dollars to find and recover his pal's little sister, Krystal from somewhere in New York; at least that was the last place that Phill had on her but James figured his brothers might know something given they ran New York City along with the Italians. While the money was great and most of his motivation for going, the chance to see his brothers for the first time in years was the icing on the cake and he immediately began packing his bags.

He folded and packed a few shirts and jeans into his suitcase along with some other necessities before calling his brothers to let them know he'd be coming to see them. To his surprise, all three brothers were pleased to hear he would be coming to visit even if it was originated in greed. After calling, he arranged the soonest flight and was just about finished packing his bags when a knock at the door of his apartment drew his attention.
