Dracy had already been in LA for roughly six months, and she had yet to actually explore the town. Of course, this wasn't her first time to LA. She had been previously with her parent's. That was years ago, and when the family went they never did what the kids wanted to. It was always an event, or a business meeting that they had to attend to. The Dodgson Children were normally left in the Hotel room, with a nanny, or their older sister watching them. So, while she had been in LA several times, she never actually go to go site seeing. Once she moved here, she had been too busy. Finally, she had a free day, and she had some extra cash. It was too hot to check out the zoo, so she had decided to go to aquarium.
She was by herself, like always, but she didn't mind. It meant that she was able to check everything out at her own pace, and she was free to look at whatever. She didn't have to be dragged along by other people. It was relaxing almost, to look at all the fish and just be alone with her thoughts. She enjoyed it for quite a few hours, before her stomach growled, and interrupted her thoughts. She tried to fight it for a bit, decided she would look at everything and then it. She didn't want to cut her visit short, eat, and then start looking again. She had a way of doing things, and she wanted to stick to it.
So she did.
She had a few more exhibits to see, and gosh darn it, she did. She ignored the growling from her stomach, choosing to drink the water bottle she brought with her instead. She figured the water would fill her up long enough to see everything. However, it only worked for so long, before her stomach was growling again. Suddenly, Dracy was only thinking about food. She was watching the fish swim, and only thinking about sushi. She would see the sea kelp, and start thinking about salads. She was no longer just thinking about whatever she wanted to. She was hungry, and apparently her stomach was stubborn.
She tossed her water bottle back into her bag, and then reached in for wallet. She pulled out a ten, stuffed it in her pocket, and took off to where the cafe was. She knew she had seen a small one near the entrance. She figured she could find something she liked there. Within a matter of a few minutes, she reached it. She waited in line, and when it was her turn she just ordered a salad, and another water. She took her order, sat down at an empty table, and started to eat.
She was never self-conscious about eating alone, like some other people might have been. She had no problem doing it. It just meant she wouldn't have to talk to anyone while she ate, which she found rude anyways. Well, it wasn't like when she did talk while eating she talked with her mouth open. She knew how to be proper. You take a bite, chew, swallow, then talk. It was quite simple, just not something Dracy liked to do. She liked to eat by herself, and she was able to enjoy it until she was almost done. Then, being too engrossed in her salad, she didn't notice when someone tripped over the chair opposite her, until she heard a crash. She quickly stood up and looked down at the person, asking, "Are you okay?"
