{ FEEL IT COMIN' IN THE AIR AND THE SCREAMS FROM EVERYWHERE }I'M ADDICTED TO THE THRILL - - - - - - IT'S A DANGEROUS LOVE AFFAIR It had been a while since he had slept in his own bed, a long period of months actually. Ever since he was sixteen, Colton had not stayed at home for more than a week’s time. Since he and Liv relocated to L.A, he had been here for nearly a month, in his apartment, in his own bed. What an accomplishment. He felt weird at this point; he was supposed to be in another time zone by now, sleeping in some sketchy motel room after days of driving, it was easier to live with himself that way. His presence in L.A was complicated; he wasn’t really supposed to be here, except he wanted to know what was going on. It was also partly because she was here. However, much to his little sister’s disappointment that she could magically set him up into some theatrical love story, Colton wasn’t here to get together with her. He was merely here for business purposes, and her presence just so happened to be the catalyst for him to figure everything out.
Everything started when Junior was killed by none other than Liz. She was the only one who had the nerve to cause such a deep impact to the very roots of the Sirens. Colton was proud of her, happy and yet saddened because he knew what will be awaiting her, the consequence for killing the successor of this underground empire. He was in New York when he heard the news, knew immediately what Liz’s fate was. An eye for an eye would make the world go blind; a death for a death would eventually eradicate the Sirens. This is what it led to; brothers and sisters killing each other until nothing were left. It was destined to end in bloodshed. And so, to carry on with the cursed tradition, it was Orion, Liz’s brother, sent to kill his little sister. It would end when everyone was dead, forgotten six feet under the ground.
Colton tried to imagine what it felt like, being able to kill his sister, but couldn’t muster up the nerve to. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself is he did anything of that sort to Olivia. It was different than any other of his assignments; this was Liv, the one person he was close to the most. Colton was able to justify all his actions, but the honest truth was, he didn’t know the men and women he finished off the way he knew his little sister. He couldn’t manage how Orion had the balls to do it.
The sun shone blindingly through his bedroom window, causing him to squint around his room, looking for pants. After settling on a pair of loose fitting jeans, the six foot, nearly nineteen year old made his way towards the kitchen. Man, he was ravenous this morning. Held by a few magnets on the refrigerator was a note left by Liv; she had gone out to explore the town before she started school this Monday. He smiled lightly as he crunched the note into his pocket before throwing open the fridge. Grabbing an armful of things, he teetered towards the counter, kicking the fridge door close with his foot. Before beginning to make food, Colton went to his record player and placed a record, his mother’s, turning the dial to increase the volume. His mother used to be a classical pianist, playing all over the world and sold a fair bit of her music. It was a special quirk of hers, requesting for her music to be recorded onto records for her own personal use. After she passed, her collection was one of the few things Colton kept, the memories held within. The music began to play, starting off softly, almost timidly before rising; he had memorized each and every one of her songs. He walked by a few picture frames, catching his reflection in the dusty glass. Would his mother approve of what he had done? Of the scars and battle wounds that decorated his naked torso? He wouldn’t really know, but who knows what dead people want when they aren’t around to tell?
Safely in the confines of his kitchen, Colton began to crack open a few eggs into a bowl and began to whisk. He added a dollop of horseradish, zest of lemon and some chilli powder, an unlikely and possibly disgusting combination, but it tasted fucking amazing, almost a flavour-gasm. He liked using odd things in his cooking, keeping things surprising was key. It was funny, cooking and slaving over a hot stove calmed the boy down, it was a relief to be able to make something that would be consumed quickly. He began to fry bacon; the rich and delicious smell invaded the apartment rapidly as he turned to plug in his waffle iron. Oh yes, the boy could eat enough food to fuel an army. After setting the nearly done eggs on a low temperature, he covered the fry pan, allowing the steam to fluff them up a bit as he began to take out another bowl, whipping up some waffle batter. Yeah, there was waffle batter, it was significantly different than that of pancake batter, and it annoyed him that not a lot of people knew of this fact. He could almost see the light puffs of steam rising from the waffle iron as he poured a bit of batter into the cross patched circles, the batter filling the wells.
He smiled as everything was turning out as he planned. He placed the food on his plate and sat down at the table and began to chow down on his large breakfast. He then could hear his phone going off and he sighed some as he took another bite and then got up and walked over to his phone and picked up "What?" he asked as he held his phone up to his ear. He nodded and sighed some as he began to write down a few names and types of cars on a note book he kept close to his phone. He smirked and then laughed slightly "Well it will be a pleasure to do this, i will get on it right away." he hung up and went back to the table and sat back down to finish his food before it got to cold. Once he was all done he cleaned up his kictean from breakfast and headed down stairs and headed into his room to get on his clothes. He shuffled threw his closet and soon grabbed his black jeans, his white tank top and then a black button up shirt that he left open. he rolled up the sleeves slighty and then grabbed his leather jacket and his boots. He grabbed his keys to the his bike that he loved.
He opened up the garage and jumped ont his bike and pulled out of the garage and then closed it up and reved up his engine and then speed down the road, he would stop and get some coffee and then probably walk around the town for a while waiting for the call that the target was at home. He soon came to his favorite place to get some coffee, he placed his helmat on his bike and headed in and smiled as one of the girls rattled off what he got, he stood in the corner just watching people, he was always on the watch for someone that was on his list and so far there was no one here that was listed. He nodded his head as his coffee came up and he paid for it and then headed out the door and just walked down the street, he knew no one would mess with his bike so he was ok to walk away from it, the girls at the coffee shop kept a good eye on it for him. He sipped his coffee as he walked down the street, just watching people as they walked by him.

It wasn't like she didn't want to see him, she'd missed all of her brothers since she moved away and had it just been a flying visit she wouldn't have a single problem with him being in LA but he wasn't not only had he started renting a new place, he'd got himself a new job and a mystery woman, he was here for the long haul and that was bad news for Kansas. Hardly anyone knew about her so called side job, none of her family knew and the only people that were any the wiser to her car theft and street racing were people she knew wouldn't judge her for it. Levi was not such a person, he would judge her more than anyone in the world, he would be so disappointed in her and following they there would be endless lectures each and every time he saw her about how she was better than that, how it was dangerous and wrong and everything else. All of which she could seriously do without. The only saving grace was that no matter how much he was against it she was sure he wouldn't turn her in, not even as a lesson, or at least she hoped he wouldn't, what she feared more was that he might tell the rest of the family and then they would all come out here and try to stage some poor excuse for an intervention or something, her father would blame himself, her brothers would all be on her case wondering how she manged to be the one that had the dark side. It was all a lot of hassle she would rather avoid at all costs. That was why she was avoiding Levi at all costs, he knew her as well as she knew herself and it wouldn't take him long to figure out she was hiding something and once he figured that out he wouldn't rest until he knew what it was, damn nosy bastard. Not that avoiding him didn't make his suspicious.
That morning she had entrusted her beloved auto shop to her prodigy and minion, he was under strict instructions to contact her if there was anything he wasn't 100% about, to contact her if anything went wrong, contact her if there were any drop in appointments and finally, he was to contact her every hour to give her an update. Not that she was a untrusting control freak or anything. The shop was her baby, she had worked her ass of getting that place up and running and keeping it that way all on her own, she had a reputation and she needed it to be crystal clean so anything he did wrong could be catastrophic for her and her business. But in her heart she knew he was ready to take on one quiet day on his own, she just needed to micro-manage, at least for a little while. So, despite it being her day off she was up at the crack of dawn, he body clock had no idea what a lie in was never mind how to take one, by the time the sun was creeping up from the horizon Kansas had already been up, dressed and readied herself, eaten breakfast and prepared her pack of dogs for their morning run. As spontaneous as she was, she was a stickler for her morning routine and did the same thing at pretty much the same time each and every day. It was from 9am that everything kind of lost a natural order and she went off a schedule she never had. Taking an extra long run, since she had the time to not needing to rush to work she arrived back at her house on the outside of the city, all 4 of her dogs and her all worked out for at least a few hours. Once she had taken her second shower of the day and thrown on a vest top and a pair of ripped jeans she dropped herself on the sofa, flicking through the channels. It took no longer than half an hour before she was bored "How the hell do unemployed people do this" she complained to her dogs as she hit the off button on her remote. "May as well go up to the stables" it wasn't an uncommon thing for her to talk to her dogs and she was convinced it was completely normal, if they started talking back she might start to worry about herself. "coffee then the ranch" she corrected aloud. She was so used to having crappy instant coffee in the morning thanks to never having the time to go to a nice little shop that the concept of getting a properly made coffee to wake her up was a tiny bit too exciting. "I'll be back" it was a poor attempt at an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression so it was probably best that there were only dogs around to hear it. With that she put on her Ray bans and grabbed her helmet, leather jacket and finally the keys to her Triumph Daytona.
Thanks the pure speed of the bike and her lack of consideration for any kind of speed limit, it didn't take her long to get into the city. She knew exactly where she was going, the coffee place she had only visited a handful of times but made the best cup of Joe she had tasted in her life. She pulled up with a loud rev of her engine next to an impressive looking Kawasaki, she was pretty sure she knew that bike but shook the thought away as she walked into the cafe. She placed her order and waited, going off into her own train of though, partly trying to place where she knew that bike from, had she actually take the time to look around she would have noticed him walking out and had she not had her back to him the whole time, he may have noticed her. After a short wait her hot drink was placed on the counter and she made her way out into the warm morning sun just in time to see a familiar back of the head walking away from her, had it not been for his bike she probably wouldn't have guessed it were him. "Hey! Colton!" she hollered speed walking after him.

{ FEEL IT COMIN' IN THE AIR AND THE SCREAMS FROM EVERYWHERE }I'M ADDICTED TO THE THRILL - - - - - - IT'S A DANGEROUS LOVE AFFAIR As he walked down the street, his eyes watched over the people that were walking down the street. He always was watching people to make sure that no one was going to bump into him or even start something with him. Colton took in a deep breath and smiled some as he felt the warmth of the sun on him and soon the warmth of his coffee as he took a sip. He heard a bike pull up and he smirked, it was a nice looking bike, though he preferd his bike then anything. He turned around and soon found a nice spot to sit down to finish his coffee and watch people some more. He leaned his head agasint the wall and closed his amber eyes as he took in the morning sun. The sound of the city flooded his head as he sat there on the side of a building, he soon opened his eyes at the sound of a voice. It was a familiar one, someone that he had once known a while back, Colton looked arorund and then narrowed his eyes as he tried to find out were exactly the voice was coming from. He soon seen a girl running towards him and a smirk crossed his face as he seen her finally. It was Kansas, the one girl that had stolen his breath last time he was around her.
As she came closer his heart began to beat just slightly faster and he stood up and smiled at her. "Hey Kansas, Been a long time" he said softly as he wrapped his arms around her for a hug and took in her sweet smell. He soon let go of her and stepped back slightly and nodded his head. He had missed her dearly, she and him had a past. They were very close and never took the step to make it offical, they acted like a dated pair but never had the title. It had been something that Colton wanted to do but didnt want to mess up what he had going with her. "I knew i heard your bike, but you know what i still like mine better." he smirked as he stood there and took a sip of his coffee. His amber eyes shimmering in the morning sun that was quickly turning into afternoon sun which would be much better for riding his bike since he wouldnt have to wear his leather jacket any more. Even though he was a very good driver he didnt trust the others that drove, he knew as soon as he decided to take off his jacket that he would slam on his breaks and would wish he had kept it on.
He turned back to her and smiled, he was sure that his feelings about her were the same as when they first were with each other but as for how she felt about him he was very unsure. It had been a few years now since last time and he was sure that she had moved on and found another person to fall for. Which he had only hoped that she had found love and wasnt dwelling on things about how they ended or what they could have been. He shook his head and then took another sip "So what brings you to LA?" he asked as he looked at her. He had seen her moving to florida or some where else or maybe even new york, a big city with alot of action and area's for working on cars and bikes. It had been one thing that they shared and it was nice to be with someone that shared the same likes as you did. He was sure that he wouldnt find another girl like kansas but he would have to find someone so that there wouldnt be second guesses about things.

She wasn't the settling down type and when people fell in love, that was normally what they did. Now she was twenty-four you might think she would have out grown that a little since she last saw Colton but not much of anything had changed since then, she was still the same, ever changing person.
Things with Colton had been slightly different, they stuck it out together for a long time, maybe he longest relationship though they had never called it that at the time. It was safer that way, easier with no expectations, when she had been with James' brother she'd gone all in and after their little heist he had expected her to come with him to Ireland, and when she blatantly said 'no' everything crumbled from there. With Colton there wasn't that commitment so when he was leaving there hadn't been that awkwardness, a clean break. That didn't mean she hadn't missed him, and seeing him homed in on her how much she really had missed him. She hugged him back taking in the familiar feeling a smile plastered to her face. "And you are still just as blind and delusional as ever" she joked in reference to the bike, this wasn't a foreign argument, though they were both motor heads it wasn't often they agreed on much within that field. "And let me guess, you're still driving crappy imports to, aren't ya?" she loved muscle cars, always had, always would.
As he looked away from her for a brief moment she couldn't help but notice how hot he still was, if not even hotter. She mentally slapped herself for the though, she couldn't go back there. It would be like opening up old wounds, for both of them. Title of not when they broke things off and he moved away it wasn't the easiest transition, she wasn't the crying into a tub of ice cream in front of a chick flick type of girl but in her own way she'd done that whole morning of a relationship. Her recovery just consisted of throwing herself into fixing up and old car and keeping her mind occupied though. She took a gulp of her hot coffee, her brothers always called her asbestos mouth the way she seemed completely immune to being burnt buy hot things "I, I dunno why I ended up stopping here for good, I guess something just clicked in a way the other places didn't. Got my own garage now and everything" she gushed with a smile, she was clearly proud of her achievement, she had to admit she wasn't quite as proud of she got there, that bank heist with James and his brothers was a last resort for her at desperate times but it had certainly got her up on her feet. As for her choice in LA, it was just the first place between there and Tennessee she felt she belonged after a lot of trial and error in other cities across the state. "What about you? What brings you to the city of dreams?" she said the city of dreams part as a sort of joke, everyone here seemed to be coming to follow big dreams and all they ever seemed to get was a load of crap.

{ FEEL IT COMIN' IN THE AIR AND THE SCREAMS FROM EVERYWHERE }I'M ADDICTED TO THE THRILL - - - - - - IT'S A DANGEROUS LOVE AFFAIR She was stunning, absoultly stunning. Somethings had never changed, she was one of those girls that changed her hair on a weekly basis. She never had the same hair cut or style and that was one thing that Colton loved. Kansas was always changing it was what helped them stay together for so long. They changed things up alot and it was rather fun, never the same thing twice, well maybe there was a few things but everything else was different. He looked at her as he felt her hug him back his breath slightly taken away as her perfume filled his nose and he shuddererd slightly. She had been the only girl that made him get chills, was it a good thing? Or was it something that was wrong with him maybe. He wasnt sure but he loved the feeling that he got when he was near her, but thing would change he was sure of that. "You know me all to well babe." he said as he smirked. Yea he had been blind and delusional some times but when it came to women it was even worse but he didnt care. It was something that he loved and that was something that would never change with the man.
He chuckled slightly as she asked if he was still driving his crappy imports. "Yea but see my crappy imports is something you loved. So it keeps the girls coming in" he smirked and then winked at her. He took a sip of his coffe and then a deep breath of the now afternoon air. He had loved the smell of the country more then the smell of the city but what could he do? Move back there? No way, he had everything he wanted here. Parts for his toys, women, booze, did i mention women? He would stay here for a while till things got boring and then he would move to some where that no one knew him and start fresh again. He heard her say that she had her own garage and a coy smirk crossed his face as he nodded his head "About time you got a garage for your damn shitty ass muscle cars". Colton was a motor head and he did rather love the all american muscle cars but it was fun to harass Kansas about her obesstions. They had so many things that they would talk about at night while they laid on the couch or even just on the floor.
There were things that Colton missed about being with Kansas and yet there was that part of him that said let her go, just let her go. Why couldnt colton just let the girl go? Why did he hang on to the memories of them. Why was he so blind when it came to her? He took the last sip of his coffee and threw the cup away and leaned agasint the wall and crossed his arms over his chest and looked at Kansas with bright shinning amber eyes. "Dont really know, was driving threw and something seemed to catch my eye about the people and you know gotta get parts for the skyline when i can, tired of ordering all my stuff online" he said as he put one of his feet on the wall to help him balance a little bit better.

She was spontaneous and about as predictable as lightening, and about as wild as it too. At least she kept the people who knew her on their toes with her sporadic tendencies. That was one thing she had loved about her time with Colton, he seemed to be able to keep up with her in a way most people didn't and more than anyone he seemed to get the way she was, she had friends that accepted her the way she was but none of them really got it, none of them really got her, not properly. "You never did have good taste, well with the exception of me, of course" it had always been their thing, to casual argue and dig at each other over their opposing taste in motors of all kinds though it was always all just in jest. She didn't exactly hate his car or his bike, she just thought that there was better and had never been a fan of imports though she could appreciate why people went for that type but the all american muscle had that safe place in her heart, there was no way of convincing her or converting her.
"You think I loved that car?" the brunette pulled a mock shocked face "I stuck with you despite that thing, you know nothing catches my attention like some good muscle" she laughed taking another chug of her scolding hot coffee, leaning next to him glancing up at his painfully beautiful eyes for a moment before she forced herself to look away, she knew she was a sucker for those eyes of his. She let out a gruff sounding snort at what he said next "Shitty, well those damn shitty muscle cars left you crying like a baby when I wooped your ass in pretty much every race we had" she laughed smugly, though she wouldn't let the car take all the credit for that, she was a professional drive too, so she kind of had an bit of an upper hand. She loved having races, it was always hilarious when guys thought they were big shots at street race gatherings so it was always hilarious to see their faces when they got it handed to them by 'some chick' the only time she really got that joy now everyone knew what she was capable of was when new people came onto the scene and weren't warned how badly they were about to lose.
There were still unresolved feelings between Kans and Colt, the whole plan of making things more simple with no labels or expectations also meant there was no real closure and that their parting hadn't really been a clear one, if you didn't know what you were then it was harder to gauge what you had lost. It was tangible between them though, the chemistry and the lingering feelings though Kansas certainly wasn't going to be the first to acknowledge it. Well, not sober, she had a bad habit of giving in to her feelings more after a drink or two. "If you need parts, then I'm your girl." she smirked with a wink taking another gulp of hot coffee "Well, I know a guy who is the guy to know about parts but that still makes me... yeah" her guy was someone she knew from car theft side of life and the stuff she got from him wasn't completely legal but she had already crossed the line of all her morals so one more on to wasn't something to even sniff at. It made her a lot of money at the garage and saved her a lot on her own motors.

{ FEEL IT COMIN' IN THE AIR AND THE SCREAMS FROM EVERYWHERE }I'M ADDICTED TO THE THRILL - - - - - - IT'S A DANGEROUS LOVE AFFAIR Colton was never meant for the life he led, he just accepted it. He could have been a great composer, a pianist like his mother or an accredited chef, hell, he had potential for everything. But that was just it, all the boy had was potential; the energy that he may do something great. He had possibilities of greatness, not that he fulfilled them, But life was about what you have done, not what you’ve aspired to do; ramifications of the events that have occurred, not what should have been, not what could have resulted. But the boy couldn’t help but to imagine what a normal existence could have been. Truth be told, Colton wanted the cliché, boring life that consisted of a wife, two point five kids and a white picket fence; he wanted It all. Alas it was a dream and would remain as such, just a dull yearning of normalcy. He knew full well that it would be pointless to have a family, to have it drenched in perpetual danger; Colton didn’t want the people he loved to be in danger because of him. That was why being distant and aloof was fundamental; it was safer for everybody involved.
However, as much as he tried to remain distant, with all his efforts strained upon not making any relationships, he managed to get somehow attached. Despite doing all in his power to walk around without any strings, he wound up being someone he feared to be. But of course, denial, to him, was the logical step to take, to deny, deny, deny until his death. It was for the best, for both of them. And denial, after eleven or so years in this business was his dearest friend. Sure it was unhealthy but so were the things he saw and the things he did. Not many nineteen year olds saw the life escaping from people eyes as death consumed them, like soft snow overtop of an intricate branch with the slightest touch disrupting its beauty. It was not so complicated, but the vulgarity of what he did, his callous ways of life prevented him from feeling remorse over the lives he had taken and would in the future, take. But he couldn’t stress over what he had done, though he wasn’t much of a religious person, perhaps if there was a heaven and hell… His actions would decide where he’ll be heading to, "Is that so?! It seemed to me that you loved the rides i used to take you on in the skyline. " He falsely whined, hunching his shoulders together and releasing them with his hands dropping like weights in a river. It was just something about her, which he didn’t want to be the cruel and callous human being he had become over the years around her. He was quiet for a moment, collecting his words while just watching Kansas. Was she always this beautiful? Stop that, brain. Stop imagining her smiling rather than how her eyes would narrow and her full lips suddenly became a solemn line. "So that is why you always lingered when we embraced and just stayed in my arms then yea?" he chuckled as he still leaned up agasint the building. It was getting slightly warm so he took off the leather jacket and placed it behind him. He wouldnt put the coat on the ground since he had no idea what was on the ground. He heard her say that he cried like a baby when her cars beat his. He laughed slightly and then spoke "Baby i cried cuz i could no longer see you, It was heart breaking honest" he said with a coy smile on his face. this is you thinking !" this is you speaking ! She'd go bat shit crazy, like a cage animal at the zoo. She loved both of her jobs for completely different reasons, the garage was her clam place, having her head under the hood of a car was the most calming thing for her, she could tinker and mess with a car or bike engine for hours and hours and not notice the time going by, she could never get bored of fixing cars. Racing and the auto theft was like a drug to her, her whole body felt like electric, she buzzed off the whole thing, the high speed driving, the fear of getting caught, the rest of her team at her side, all of it just made her feel alive and she needed that kind of buzz to make her feel that way. It had been a few weeks since her last gig and she was starting to get withdrawals from it, she was itching for their next mission which was still a while off so she was going to have to hit the street race scene to get her fix before then. She wondered in that moment if Colton was up for it, he didn't know that she was a car thief but he knew about the street racing, as did a lot of people she knew, the ones she could trust anyway.
The last thing Kansas wanted was a normal anything, normal to Kansas was boring and her life was anything but boring, maybe, eventually she would want to settle down and have a normal life, a normal relationship, family, lifestyle, the whole shebang but right now she was quite content with being unsettles and as abnormal as possible. The most normal relationship Kansas had ever had in her life was the one she had with the guy she met in LA just after she arrived, James' brother Dan, and that was saying something because that relationship had lead her to rob a bank with him and his brothers. So yeah, normal really wasn't something she was familiar with and that was something she was more than happy with. She could be normal when she was old and couldn't do any of the cool stuff she did now a days. "That was more to do with the driver than the car." she smirked with a wink. She couldn't deny, not really, that his car was fun to drive but she would never admit that and she wouldn't ever say or think that it was any better than anything she had parked outside of her house. She just didn't have as much fun in imports as she did in muscles though they were fun to drive, but to her every car was fun to drive as long as it went over the 100mp/h mark.
Kansas couldn't help but notice just how good Colton was looking, she wasn't sure it was even better than before but there was still certainly something there though she kind of wished it wasn't. Lingering feelings were dangerous, they meant things could and more than likely would get complicated. She had never been all too good with her will power, if she wanted something that she wasn't supposed to have whether it be a car, a deliciously bad snack, another drink or a man, she always caved and gave in to her want. She didn't see the use in denying herself something she really wanted and working so hard to stop herself when she was going to fail in the end anyway. Like she couldn't help but watch when he took off his leather jacket to show off those muscly arms of his, she was a sucker for muscle car and the body type and he knew it. Everyone knew it. "I guess, sometimes, sometimes I was just cold and stealing your heat" she teased, she did miss him, missed being in those big strong arms with him and everything else that came with their, well, whatever it was that they had before. "Well, I'd cry too if I didn't get to see this on a regular basis" she joked cockily, she wasn't really that arrogant, she knew she wasn't exactly something bad to look at but she liked to be liked for what was under the hood, not just for the body. "But I've missed you, too, I guess" she smiled having to drag her eyes off him for a moment to look down like some shy little girl that she wasn't.
