It was near lunch-time, and Caitlyn was hungry. Usually, Daisy would be with her, but since Daisy was with Mr. Carter (excuse me, Landon), then she was on her own to get lunch. After getting her afternoon books, and thankfully, a couple wasn't making out in front of it. Her locker it seems to attract couples. When she got to the lunch-room, she noticed that the line wasn't terribly long, and she was grateful for that: it means most people went out for lunch. Once she paid for her lunch, she realized she had no one to sit with.
Since Daisy was usually with her, they sit together, but it seemed like it wasn't the case today. She scanned the lunch-room, and her eyes rested on a girl, and Caitlyn smiled. When she got to the table, she looked at the girl. "Can I sit here?"
she asked. TAGGED;; DEE/TARNIE OUFIT;; CAN BE FOUND HEREWORDS;; THERE ARE --- WORDS LYRICS;; LOVE YOU LIKE A LOVE SONG - SELENA GOMEZ AND THE SCENE. She hated school, she hated all the preppy bitch's there, she hated all the teachers, the rules, the work. She hated everything about school but most of all she hated all the memories that were there, she had grown up in these walls with her 3 best friends in toe, people she had known since the day she started American school when she was just 9 years old. They were the one that made her feel welcome, this was the place she had met them and now this was the place that everyone, including herself, blamed her for their deaths.
As she often was, so she could make it at least an hour or so, Delilah was a tiny bit high that morning, it made her a little easier going, a slightly nicer person in general when she'd had a puff or 5 on her bong but now it was lunchtime her buzz was starting to wear off and her patience staring to wear thin. She dumped her cafateria tray on a table with the least people on and glared at the little freshmen, even making a slight growl sound until they ran off with their tails between their legs, people were afraid of her and all of the stories people said about her when she walked down the halls so it didn't take much to send people in the opposite direction, she prefered it that way so when Caitlyn came up and sat near her, she wasn't the most pleased she had ever been. "If you have to." she grumbled stuffing a handful of fries into her mouth in an aggressive sort of fashion.

When Caitlyn realized it was Deliah, Caitlyn smiled. "Great!"
she stated, not letting Deliah's behavior affect her. She knew she could sit with anyone she wanted (Caitlyn loved to make friends with anyone), but with Deliah, she was trying to make amends, and hopefully become friends again...if Deliah would want too, that is, but it seemed like the girl didn't want too, it seems. But, Caitlyn was willing to try, because back when, she and Deliah used to be friends before the accident, and now Deliah seemed different: totally different. She picked up a pickle, and ate it, making a sour face. She adored pickles, but they always left a sour after-taste when she ate them. Caitlyn turned to Deliah, and she gave the girl another smile. "So, how are you?" Caitlyn asked, picking up another pickle, and eating it, making another sour face. She had always been well dressed, in pretty vintage dresses, with tidy simple make up, if any and her hair normally in a simple up do or pony, now she looked a mess, baggy band tees and ripped jeans were her favorite attire, he hair was limp and down over her face, her eyes were circled with dark make up and under them dark bags because she was always out partying and never getting any sleep. There was a constant haze over her pott head eyes but the biggest difference was the fact that her once happy, smiling face was now constantly plastered with a nasty looking snarl or at best, a smirk. She was a whole different person through and through and it was sad for those who used to know her to see.
Delilah had never really fallen out with Caitlyn, she had just drifted away from the girl, she wasn't someone Delilah could relate to, not anymore, they had nothing in common except their past so she didn't see any reason for them to bother with one another anymore, plus, Caitlyn was best friends with one of the many people Delilah hated at school, and in general; Daisy. Delilah cringed a little at Caitlyn's enthusiasm how was I ever like that she thought to herself, she was always the chipper friendly type before the accident, it was exhausting. "I'm fan dabby dozy" she said flatly, in a mocking sort of way, she wasn't meaning to be mean to caitlyn and she wasn't being if you compared it to how she reacted to the majority of people but it was just who she was. "Does it not get on your nerves? Being super nice about everything all of the time?" she asked planly as she stuffed another ketchup covered frie into her mouth.

Deliah used to be like her: preppy, friendly. But, now after the accident, it seems like she changed, and not for the better. Caitlyn had wanted to talk to her, but she had been busy, with school, her job, and not to mention that she hangs out with Daisy and Zayden, too. So, she was glad that she was sitting with Deliah now. At first, she was little nervous that Deliah would tell her to scat, but it seemed like she didn't care if she sat down next to her or not. Caitlyn took the chance, and now she had to sit through lunch, and was hoping to get some conversation out her.
Caitlyn bit her lower lip. No one have ever asked (or maybe they have, it was just in their heads), and she was sort of surprised that Deliah had asked. Caitlyn chose her words carefully before looking at the girl. "Honestly, it doesn't. Get on my nerves, I mean. I rather be happy than sad or mad anyways. I try to be happy everyday because it's what I've always been told: I rather have a happy outlook on life instead of an sad one."
she replied. Mostly, though, there were so many downs in Caitlyn's life that she had no choice but to be happy, but that doesn't mean that she wasn't sad or mad. It was just how she was taught, to be happy. TAGGED;; DEE/TARNIE OUFIT;; CAN BE FOUND HEREWORDS;; THERE ARE --- WORDS LYRICS;; LOVE YOU LIKE A LOVE SONG - SELENA GOMEZ AND THE SCENE. It was enthralling, doing anything and everything she wanted to do, not caring was maybe the best thing she ever did and though it got her into a lot of trouble it was still better than the up tight girl she used to be. Maybe if it hadn't taken her the death of her three best friends she might have actually been happy. But she wasn't, she hadn't been happy for a long time. One thing she did miss but refused to go back to was her dancing, she had been doing it since she could walk and it had been her escape from the world but since her father left with no sign of coming back, she hadn't danced more than the average person at a party. It had been the only thing her mother liked about her before, though she had a funny way of showing it so going back would mean her mother had some kind of pull on her again, that the terrible woman got to win a small something again. So she was never going back.
"If that was supposed to be a contrast for me, I'm not sad, not really, I'm just realistic, shit happens and you can't always be happy about it even if you plaster that smile on your face" Inspiring and insightful words as always, it was true, Deliah wasn't exactly the happiest girl in the world but she never had been, she had just acted that was before for appearances and because that's what people expected from her. "It's exhausting, that fake happy all of the time thing, and don't talk like I don't know." her tone was clipped and short, to the point. "You should just try it, getting mad, once in a while, and I don't mean stomping your feet and shouting a little mad, that's controlling it. Letting it out, really just losing control and getting it all out, it's... not quite as good as sex but it's up there" she was talking the truth but at the same time she was having a go at making Caitlyn feel at least a little bit uncomfortable. It was just how she got her kicks now, causing people any kind of trouble, even if it was just making them feel a little uncomfortable. Caitlyn was getting off easy so far.

Caitlyn tried to think of a time where she had been mad: and it was hard. But, it wasn't hard to think of a memory where it invovled Callie and Crystal, her step-mom and step-sister. Those two always made her blood boil, but she never expressed it when her dad was around because he was happy that his three girls were spending time together. But, it wasn't like behind closed doors. Crystal was always kissing her butt, and telling her to spend her credit card on whatever she wanted, and maybe she did that because she knew if she kissed up to Caitlyn, Caitlyn would like her, and the wedding would be smooth sailing. Callie, on the other hand, insulted her to no end, and would call her a bitch on a daily basis. True to her nature, Caitlyn would just let it roll off her back, or would just get lippy with her. And no one would believe Callie when Callie told them that Caitlyn was telling her off.
She looked at Deliah. "Getting mad isn't a norm for me, but I could try it. Usually, if I get mad, I sketch something."
She bit her lower lip. That answer probably wouldn't fly with Deliah, but it was better than slamming doors, shouting, and having sex. Sketching her soon to be steps to their doom made her feel better, and when she was finished, she felt better. But she couldn't see that from the angry fog she sat in, to her this was the right way to be, who she was and how it was going to be from now on, if people didn't like it, they knew where to go. She knew from being on the other side of the fence that it was impossible to be as happy as you came off all the time, she had been even more of the chipper type to cover up her inner turmoil before. No ones life was so perfect that they could be constantly happy, life didn't work that way, no matter who you were and Caitlyn couldn't be any exception, in fact, she knew she couldn't be because she knew things about Caitlyn's life from when they had been friends she didn't know everything but she knew that things at home weren't exactly peachy.
"Yeah yeah, and dancing used to be mine, what a pile of shit that was." Dee said in a short and snappy sort of way, "that's not venting, not really, people need to know when they piss you off, that you aren't gonna take it like a little bitch and go to your own place to be angry, I believe if you're angry, you should be angry, raging angry, and take it out on the thing that made you feel that way. Think about it, that's much more logical" she insisted before stuffing another few fries in her mouth. "I mean, maybe not being mad at inanimate objects like your phone when it's being a dick isn't quite logical but you get what I'm talking about" she corrected, just to clarify. This was genuinly what she believed and she couldn't see how anyone could argue with that logic, people who asked the question 'what does getting angry achive' people like her shrink, for instance, always got the same answer, 'it gets things out there, feelings, anger and it makes people react' wasn't that what you wanted, if you didn't like something you should do something to change it, and going off to a dance stuio to flit about wasn't going to change a damn thing and neither was hiding in your room and sketching.

Caitlyn realized that no one could be this happy, like how she was. No one was perfect. Everyone had their demons, she just didn't know it because the people she cared about and loved kept their secrets like she had to keep hers. Like how her mother had her at age sixteen, and was shunned by everyone except to those close to her for having Caitlyn at such a young age. How her father had been going behind her mother's back, and had an affair with Crystal. Even Callie had her secrets, and hers wasn't quite as scandalous as Callie made it seem (seeing three guys at once). Maybe it just how she was raised, to be happy even if her world seemed to be crashing down. Caitlyn knew Dee wasn't always this mean, but their past made her this way, and this new Dee was just someone Caitlyn was going to have deal with, like she had been doing, except she never had a conversation with her since the accident: until now, that is.
She understood where Dee went with this, but she just couldn't picture herself being angry at something. If she was ever angry, she just sketched, and that was that. She knew sketching wasn't the same as Dee described it, but it was how she handled stress and anger. Everyone knew she sketched. They just never knew Caitlyn could be angry: she was just always happy, but there could be a first time for everything. "I can understand that taking it out on the thing or someone that made you angry seem like a good idea, but dancing and sketching seem like a safer way to do it."
If Dee was saying that she should insult (even forced to use violence) Crystal and Callie whenever she could seemed like a lost cause on Caitlyn because she could never stoop to Callie's level by calling her a bitch back.
