it was very unusual for saoirse to be getting all girly, especially in a long ball gown. she gazed into the mirror, before fixing her dress one last time. if she had to say so herself, she looked pretty good.. but it was weird for her. when she dressed up, it was usually just a short little dress that she would pair up with a nice pair of combat boots. but tonight it was different. she actually had on a pair of silver heels to go with her dress, and she just didn't feel herself. but she did feel very beautiful. her hair fell in nice ringlets around her shoulders, and she ran her fingers through her curls once more before putting some eyeliner on her eyes, not worrying about much more. after all, it was a masquerade, people wouldn't be seeing her eyes much anyways. biting her lip softly, she was hoping that she looked okay. so many girls were so excited to get dressed up for tonight, but she just felt weird. slowly and carefully she put on her mask, making sure everything looked all right in the mirror. when she was happy with the way she looked, she headed downstairs. she was going to meet elias there, and then go home and spend the night with him tonight.

her mother had agreed earlier that day to give her a ride to the event. she headed towards the ball, thinking of all the things that could possibly go wrong with her being in a dress and heels. she was sure that one time during the night she was going to fall and hurt herself. if she was lucky she would end up with only a few bruises, and not a broken bone. once she arrived there, she put her bag in elias' car before heading inside, her mother leaving behind her. taking a deep breath, she slowly entered, looking around. it was beautiful. she looked around at everything, taking it all in. the decorations were wonderful, and the music playing set the mood perfectly. sam definitely knew how to throw a party. saoirse looked around before she spotted elias. even with a mask on, she could find him out of a crowd without a problem. she guessed it was just a girlfriend thing. she ran up behind him before throwing her arms around him. "guess who?" she said, before moving in front of him, smiling at him. she kept her arms around him as she looked up at him. "it's so nice here. it's so beautiful, but i feel so weird. this is so unlike me," she said, letting out a small giggle.

the suit and tux laid on his bed all sprawled out and ready to be put on. as eli emerged from the shower his hair a wet mop of pure blonde. he had recently just got it dyed, his brown roots were showing through and his stylist thought he wasn't "red carpet ready". eli didn't even know what that term meant to be honest. he just knew they had to go on one of those long walks and get interviewed by a ton of people. he wasn't sure if he should bring saoirse or not, sometimes the guys brought their girls with them. eli stood infront of the mirror, wearing nothing but a towel. he quickly slipped on some boxers and squeezed his hair dry of any water. he then looked in the mirror, saoirse was yet to see his hair this brilliant blonde yet. eli blow dried it in a quiff and put a bit of styling gel in it. he got it perfect in a couple of minutes, he moved swiftly to his room. he slipped on his dress pants, a white tank top and a dress shirt overtop. eli tucked in the shirt and took a deep breath whilst looking in the mirror. he put on his bow tie, it was red to match saoirse's dress. she didn't tell him much about the dress, all he knew was it was red. he then put on the blazer. eli looked sharp, he was used to wearing tuxes now. he put on his red mask and finally he was ready.

eli texted saoirse he was leaving, her mother was giving her a ride and he grabbed his keys and the single red rose he had gotten for the occasion. when eli got to the ball, saoirse took his keys and went to the car to put her bag inside. he had invited her to stay the night so her mom wouldn't have the troubles of picking her up. eli made his way inside and she would just meet him inside. he kept the rose hidden in his lapel and made sure she didn't see it till she came inside. eli awaited inside at the top of the stairs for his lovely cinderella. when eli was facing the party he felt someone jump on him and cover his eyes. eli knew exactly who it was when she asked. she turned around and uncovered his eyes, he looked lovingly into his girlfriend's eyes. "w-o-w, you look so amazing saoirse. although, i do love it best when you're comfortable." eli smiled and out his arms around her and leaned in closer to her.

eli took out his rose and presented it to her, "for my favourite girl." he handed it to her and kissed her lightly. he hoped no one would be around here to hate on the two of them, this was their first public event together. "you ready beautiful?" eli said taking her hand and leading her down towards the dance floor. "may i have this dance?" he asked taking her waist and pulling her in towards him.

saoirse had been reluctant about going out in public with elias. it wasn't that she didn't want to go out and have fun with him, but she was very eery about the public eye. and she didn't really want to be in the spotlight all of the time. she was fine with being laid back. being one of those couples who were all over the place did not appeal to her at all. it was annoying when you saw couples out in public all over the place, and sometimes it made her wonder whether the couples were together because they wanted to be together, or if they were together because they liked being the center of attention. saoirse loved being with elias, but she was fine being laid back and trying to stay out of the cameras. and she didn't want people thinking she was with him to get in the spotlight, because if there was something she really hated, it was being the center of attention. having all eyes on you was not something she was comfortable with. which was the reason she was meeting elias there instead of walking down the carpet with him. this was their first public event together, and things needed to go slow. you couldn't just throw her in front of a bunch of cameras.

it would take her a little bit of time to get use to, but she was sure that elias would make it as easy as he could for her. when he turned around to face her, her jaw dropped a little. of course, elias was always attractive. but it was the first time he ever looked this good, and he looked this good for her. "you're not looking bad yourself, if i have to say so myself," she said, before pulling him into a hug. she kissed his cheek before nodding a little. "this whole thing is weird for me. i'm not use to looking so dressy and definitely not used to all of these people looking at me," she added, a bit softly. she took a deep breath, telling herself that everything was going to be fine. she was here with elias and that was all she needed. he pulled out the rose and saoirse smiled, as her cheeks turned a shade of pink. "you're the sweetest boy ever," she took the rose from his hand and kissed his cheek. "but i don't have anything for you right now! it's all in the car," saoirse pouted, sticking out her tongue a little. "you may have this dance," she said, before taking his hand, and following him onto the dancefloor, all of her worries slowly fading away.

eli was used to the occasional camera shutter click. the press had come in slow numbers at first but then they really started to stalk him. this was really creepy and now he found himself going out of the back doors of places more often. when the first photo of irse and him was published it was the worst day ever. people had found out about the two young lovers and he just wished it was a secret. irse had been concerned and really shy that day, he figured out she saw it pretty quickly. eli felt bad he was asking so much from her. she didn't ask to like a famous star let alone have her face plastered across magazines and websites online. people were just looking for an excuse to slam her. he even read people saying she wasn't even worthy of dating eli. people had it all wrong, eli wasn't worthy of saoirse. they didn't know her the way he knew her, she was his everything and he didn't regret one moment they shared together.

"thanks irse, i needed some help with my bow tie at first but then chester ended up helping me.. i was never good at tying knots." eli shrugged, usually saoirse helped him get ready for big red carpet events. she had to get ready herself for tonight and boy was it worth it. she looked like a million stars twinkling all at the same time. "they're all looking at you because you're the most beautiful thing they've ever seen babe." eli said kissing her forehead and giving her an assured look. he hoped that she wouldn't feel too exposed tonight, he asked a lot of her by coming out tonight. he had never attended such a large event in a long time. last time was the music awards and he felt a little claustrophobic, at least here he was surrounded by people he knew. he scanned the ball room and saw sam and ryan swirling around the dance floor, he would have to compliment sam later on the beautiful hall decorations. when eli presented the rose her face turned pink and she kissed him on the cheek. "you don't have to give me anything hun, you're the best present i'll ever get." eli said pulling her close. she stuck out her tongue and eli chuckled softly, he loved her silly faces.

eli took her to the dance floor and put one of his hands and put it on her hip, the other one he laced it into hers. he swayed softly to the music with her, "saoirse, i can't believe how far we've come." eli said softly, he would've never guessed they would be a couple after bumping into her in that park that fateful day. "i don't think we've ever slow danced together before." eli said pulling her in closer. he heard the familiar click of a camera and looked over saoirse's shoulder. surely it was a camera man snapping photos of the dancing couples with a polaroid. he was glad it was only a polaroid, that way it wouldn't get published. he snapped one of eli and saoirse, two copies printed out of the shutter. he handed it to eli and he tucked both of them in his pocket, "we can look at them later." eli said smiling.

saoirse had no idea how she planned to make music if she got uncomfortable in the spotlight. she was hoping that when she released music people would know about it, but she wouldn't be huge like one direction had turned out to be. it was never about fame to her, fame made her uncomfortable. eventually she wanted to share her music with the world, but she had a hard time showing off her stuff. elias was the first person she had opened up to, and it wasn't long ago when she finally opened up. it was hard taking in all the fame that was being thrown on her. having your face as the cover as magazines, and reading articles about yourself was not easy, especially when people were out to say the worst things they possibly could about her. the first time people found out about her and elias, it was one of the hardest days of her life. it was not easy reading nasty things about yourself, when people did not know anything about saoirse in the first place. she had been called a whore and a slut because she was dating him, although he was the first guy she was really getting serious with. and people had said she was in it for the fame, which was so far from the truth. it was hard reading those things, especially when so many people had no idea how much she really cared for elias.

she shook her head in a teasing way. "which is why you had me help you the last few times. you look great though," she said, straightening up his bow-tie a little bit. it was so nice looking at him all dressed up, especially when he was dressed up to be at an event with her. seeing him dressed up for something else was one thing, but when he was looking nice for her, it was a completely different thing. "you always know what to say to make me feel better," she smiled before kissing his cheek gently. he knew how hard this was for her, but she was going to have to get use to it. no, it wasn't easy dating one of the worlds biggest celebrities, but she would do anything to make him happy, and she knew that being here with him tonight meant a lot to him. "as sweet as you are, i did need to get you something. it wouldn't be fair if you got me something and i didn't get you anything. besides, i think you will really like it," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck. "you mentioned something about it before, but you never got it. i hope it's everything you wanted," she added.

on the dance floor she intertwined her one hand with his, and let her other go onto his shoulder. she rested her head on his chest, and closed her eyes, swaying along to the music with him. she had never dance with a guy before, but this felt so perfect and like she was meant to be with him on the dance floor. "we have come pretty far since you almost killing me that one day," she joked, before looking up and kissing his lips softly. "i've never slow danced with anyone before," she said looking into his eyes. "but dancing with you now, it feels like i've been doing it all my life. it doesn't feel awkward or like i've never done it before, it feels amazing," she said. a man with a camera snapped two pictures of them, and walked over giving them the pictures. she smiled as he put them in his pocket. "i bet they're perfect," she said. being here with elias, she knew she was in love. she had never told him those three words yet, but she knew she loved him.

eli adored saoirse, there were no words to describe how he felt about her. he didn't care what the tabloids said, he was going to be with saoirse no matter what the others said. nothing was going to stop them from being together. he had came home from a late night recording session to find saoirse sitting on his bed with his sweater on, she was sprawled across reading all the magazines they had been published in. some had some serious hate towards saoirse and he could see the sadness in her eyes. he held her the entire night and kissed her until all the pain went away. eli didn't want anything to hurt his girlfriend, she was everything he ever wanted.. he didn't want to lose her over some silly magazine. eli never wanted their relationship to be on a burden on saoirse, he just wanted her to be happy.

irse shook her head back and fourth, "i need you to help me everytime i get ready though." eli pouted lightly. maybe it was because he loved having an excuse to have her over. he went to at least one fancy event every two weeks, he always got irse to pick out a tux from his many in his closet and a matching bow tie. she had excellent taste after all. "which is why we're perfect for each other." eli said as she kissed his cheek, he blushed a shade of red. nothing could bring elias down now. he had the most perfect girl in the whole entire world infront of him and she was all his. "just having you in my arms is enough for me hun." eli said snatching her up in his arms. "but all i could ever want... is in my arms right now." eli's voice was soft and loving. he loved saoirse, there was no doubt about it. he was head over heels in love with everything about her.

irse was stunning under the beautiful chandelier lighting, her eyes glistened into his and he couldn't help but well up with joy. saoirse kissed him softly, he closed his eyes, he felt very lightheaded, her kisses always had that effect. "bet you never thought that guy who almost killed you would've wound up being your boyfriend." eli said laughing with her, the word 'boyfriend' was still foreign in his mouth but it was a good kind of foreign. "i've never slow danced with anyone either, i'm glad we could share our first dance together.." eli said holding her even closer and closing his eyes for a moment. when the man snapped the picture he quickly put it in his pocket, he wanted to get back to slow dancing with saoirse. "no babe, you're perfect. a picture can't even match your perfection." eli said pulling away and looking into her eyes, he kissed her forehead.

when the song ended eli swirled her around in a little twirl, he had a few moves up his sleeve. he pulled her back close, "here, you can look at them now." eli pulled out the photos and handed some of saoirse, he kept one in his hand. the photographer actually got one of them pulling away from a kiss. he held this one in his hand, his goofy smile just as he pulled away was one of pure bliss. "i'm gonna put this in a frame back at home." eli showed irse the photo he held. it was quite a kodak moment and he glad he could remember this night forever.

saoirse had a few tough blows from people in the tabloids, and of course there were paparazzi trying to always get pictures of elias and saoirse together. but they had learned to be sneaky, and they could often go places now without people knowing who they were. and when they were caught, they did their best to get to a place where people couldn't chase them around. often they would just sit at each others houses doing things around there so that they could be alone. saoirse didn't mind it one bit. all she needed was elias by her side and she was happy. "didn't your parents ever teach you how to dress yourself," she joked a little bit. saoirse never minded helping him get ready for events. with her help, he always looked red carpet ready. even though with looks like his, it wasn't hard to make him look good at all. even though they had been dating for a few months, they still always blushed around each other. nothing was ever going to stop that, and it made saoirse happy. she wrapped her arms around him before looking up at him. "you're all i ever want as well. nothing could ruin that."

she couldn't help but laugh a little bit. "i remember first meeting you. even though you knocked me over, i couldn't help but think about how cute you were. and how you were making me blush, even though you nearly killed me. i guess some things never change though," she said right before blushing, as if it was on cue. she danced with him slowly before saying, "you are very good at dancing my dear elias." she blushed once more at him calling her perfect. "i think you are mistaken. you are the perfect one. and i am the lucky girl who gets to be with you. and hold your hand and be the reason for your smiles. i love you elias," she said, the words just flowing out of her mouth. she hoped this wasn't the wrong time to say that she loved him, but she really hoped that he loved her back. this was the first time she had ever said those words to him.

elias would let nothing touch or hurt saoirse. he didn't want her to feel anymore pain, hurt, or sorrow again. she deserved every bit of happiness the world could give to her and eli believed he was the one to make her happy forever. the paparazzi caused the two of them to be stuck indoors a lot of the time. their dates would consist of a lot of indoor picnics, movie nights, and just talking till they fell asleep. she basically lived in his loft with himself and chester. she loved raiding his closets and taking half his clothes. eli didn't mind one bit because she was all his and his heart was all hers. "no... my dad left way before he got the chance to show me how to tie a tie." eli bowed his head for a moment and felt the overwhelming guilt for a few seconds, he perked right back up when he saw saoirse's glowing face. he was so blessed to have a girl like her, she made him so happy. "nothing will ever come between us babe." eli leaned down and kissed her lightly on the lips. he pulled away and looked into her eyes for a few seconds and smiled.

eli laughed with irse, he had nearly trampled her. "i remember stumbling over and that really hurt.. but then after that i felt an overwhelming joy to see i had bumped into an angel." eli blushed, irse did too. she was right, something's would never change. he was falling head over heels in love with saoirse. they had been dating for a few months and they nearly hit the six month mark if he had counted correctly. he had known her for nearly nine though. as they swayed together on the dance floor he felt the butterflies dance in unison, "you are too irse," he said softly holding her closely. he let saoirse talk, with every word he listened intently. at the end of her sentence she said she loved him. eli wanted to be the first one to say it! he pulled away from their close embrace and looked at her. "darn it saoirse! i wanted to say it first!" eli said laughing softly, "no, you make me perfect. you make me a better person and i love holding your hand, i love when you make me smile. but, i love making you smile even more. i am so in love with you saoirse, i think i'm going crazy because i love you so much." eli said softly before kissing her, his eyes were closed but he could see camera flashed from underneath his lids.
