26, poor, waiter, easy-going, single dad julian was raised in a latin family,and so far is the only member to move away from brazil. not that he was really looking to get away in the first place. in fact is was all because of his son that he gave up everything. a few years back he started dating this college girl from america, who was spending her freshman summer down in Rio. nine months later he had a son. so, with some scolding from his mother, julian followed his girlfriend home to help look after the child. And like any immigrant to the united states, it was tough for him to hold down a job, which later only convinced his girlfriend to give up on trying to be a family. she went to go back to college and left julian to care for their son, joel, as a single father. five years later, and julian delights in his responsibility. however, still at odds with getting a stable job, he lies to his son about how much money he really has. Julian goes out of his way to pretend he is rich when it comes to his son; wearing nice tailored clothes and going to expensive places to eat and buying any toy joel wants. its exhausting, and makes julian feel guilty but he wants the best for his little boy. his only real worry is getting the bills paid on time. os amigos he's an easy enough guy to get a long with. likes to laugh, likes to have a few drinks, nothing too hard about that. and he is very talkative when he wants to be. he needs people around that will behave when joel is with him. os inimigos everyone has to have a few, maybe a few people that don't like his service as a waiter or people who don't like or understand the way he lies to his kid. os amantes the last girl he was with left his son, so he can be cautious about who he gets with. however, he finds it amusing that a lot of women are drawn in by his son. they are a pretty cute pair, and everyone loves a loving single father. but he needs some one to open him back up to the dating world, so he's open to any girls who want to try to actually have a serious relationship with him.

NICHOLAS BAEL WHITE
"i'm an extreme insomniac."

25, middle, paramedic, impersonal, blunt while his real first name may be nicholas, he prefers to go by bael. it helps him distance himself from people so that they are not on a first name basis signifying a friendship. but besides bael's little social quirks, he grew up a normal life; happy parents and a younger sister. since he was sixteen, he's been plagued by insomnia. it wasn't all that bad to start out with, just a few sleepless nights but with the last few years its escalated to only a few decent hours of sleep a month. at first he thought that it was the pressure of school, but now he just hides behind his career and says its the stress of that. and he doesn't even try to go and seek help for himself, he just lives though it. so when sleep doesn't come, he usually will work night shifts or tire himself. not that he is open to talking about his sleepless nights, about anything really. bael compartmentalizes his feelings and emotions so that he can stay focused in all situations, so to the outside person, he seems kind of blank. friends bael isn't the best in social situations, so he doesn't go out of his way to talk with people to make friends, he is all about business most of the time. not that he'd have the best personality to make friends anyways, he is blunt and very take charge. enemies well, bael is up for a good fight, words (which he would probably just walk away from) or fist fights. he's got the build of a boxer in a paramedic uniform and he can be intimidating. however, bael is never looking to start fights, his personality can be taken the wrong way when he means something else. lovers he may not have the best game with women, but he isn't close to being a virgin. sometimes bael resorts to sleeping with a few ladies to tire himself out when he can't sleep, and he's not apposed to the women that keep coming back to use him. he mostly tries to proposition the girls that he think can help him, but he's not charmer, he is rather blunt about his intentions, so he'll never lie to some one. someone would need to be persistent and show him that emotions don't hurt show if they want any form of serious relationship with him.

EVERLY MAY DAVENPORT
"i'm blackmailing my own father to keep my family together."

25, elite, librarian/blackmailer, observant everly davenport has a well known family. although well known in name, not so much with personal life. even knowing all there secrets, even if they don't know she knows, everly is deeply loyal to her family and does anything in her power to protect it as she sees fit. she is old money, rich from generations passed and from current employment. sure the library is peaceful and quiet when she needs a moment, but that's just a hobby since she loves any history. her real paying job comes of a lesser talked about genre. And her personality is independently covert enough to keep any illegal suspicions off, if only because she manages her life cleanly since she can't stand clutter. clients/victims of course these are all confidential, should someone want any help keeping there secret from someone who was too nosy. victims obliviously get her more business side. friends everly has high standards so true friends are harder to come by. however, she does need a few people that can deal with her superficial talk and walk. she isn't all that bad, the red head actually delights in the shopping and current fashions as well as books, so there are a few things to bond over well enough to her sights. enemies more then a handful, or maybe not, it depends on how good she is at keeping them quiet. but honestly, there will be people that don't like her because of her pompous behavior and cocky way and there will be people that hate her for her other job. lovers being a hard girl to please, it makes this limited, but not rare. she does like clean cut looking men, men that look like they can handle business, better then the rest of them, but that's a just a preference. She loves to tease the men she is playing with as well as be teased by the men she is actually interested in. she will be mostly wrapped up with Declan Douglas, going through several ups and downs with the mob member.

ROMAN LIONEL WARREN
"i have an anxiety attack every time i am left alone for a long time."

20, middle, law student, charismatic, selfless roman is the youngest in his family. if it can be called a family, his parents are divorced and his older brother doesn't come around anymore. lovely way to live; shared between three people that can't stand either other but still love him. it didn't all start out bad, but it resulted in roman developing a form of separation anxiety, which he keeps well under wraps. he is in college studying for law so he can't really afford to look weak and helpless in front of others. in fact, he is well know to help out others before himself, but he was taught that back when his family was still all together. every one in his family has a career that helps others in one way or another. it's kind of in his genes. and roman wouldn't be volunteering at an animal shelter if he didn't care. the passion to look after others is what got him interested in being a lawyer, well that and his interest in crime shows. friends roman is quite the social butterfly. and he's got that easy to like personality. not to mention he's in college and likes to hangout and party as much as the next guy. when it comes to friends, he is super loyal and outgoing. enemies everyone has to have a few, and roman doesn't really like anything illegal. so anyone really into some dirt wouldn't be on his good side. or people that mess with his friends or break his trust. lovers he didn't earn the nickname romeo just because of how close his name is. nope, roman is a charmer and he knows it. he can sweet talk with the best of them, but he doesn't use it to get into girls' pants. okay, well he does but he likes to keep his flirting respectable and genuine. he's more into serious relationships then just plain sleeping around. his final is taken.

JUDAS ULYSSES ROYALE

27 rich nightclub owner/pimp, suave, roguish Judas' life didn't start out all that great. He never knew his father, but not for the reason that you think. Some people end up being the love child after a heated night between lovers that just part ways afterward. Well, Judas can't even call himself a love child. His 'father' if you could call him that, was a rapist on the loose in the streets of London. To be specific, Judas is the result of a rape attack. Though he wasn't made aware of that till he was sixteen and all the kids at school would call him "bastard" and such. though all the signs the something was off were there; his own mother wouldn't look him in the eye, and even still doesn't. Another year later and Judas convinced his mom to take him out of Europe since even teachers were starting to look at him sideways. Once in the United States, Judas finally had the time to remake himself into the devilish man he is now. friends he's a social guy for the most part, give him women, a night club, and a few drinks and his silver tongue can make fast friends. however, close friends really only get close if they can stay in his good graces and act naive about his occupation and crass comments. enemies most people don't like his somewhat rough demeanor, not that he cares what people think of him. that and they find the fact he helps sell women's services disgusting. but he does have a wicked temper to match any of his enemies should things go beyond name calling. And he isn't friendly at all with the clients that offend or bother his call girls that work for him. lovers according to judas, love and cute relationships don't really exist. And if prompted, he'd admit to being into all that kink stuff, if just to make bed life more interesting and fulfilling. he'll pull a girl in with his charms of sinful appeal and suave coolness and get them hooked like a drug. or at least that's the intent. But he's happy with one night stands, friends-with-benefits, flings and teases all the same. though, fair warning, he can get rather rough and possessive should the relationship drag on. give him love x3

So I think Sam would immediately be won over by his son. He is adorable. Julian is responsible and Sam respects that in people. Maybe they all become close and become good friends and eventually the press hear about it and start rumors that they're secretly together or something? Sam needs some more friends for sure so at this point they could just look out for each other.

haha, joel is hard to resist. i agree that they would end up good friends. i also like that rumors idea, especially cause julian is literally like a nobody compared to her. he'd probably call her and be like "have you seen the news, aparantly we are madly in love and having a secert love affair...why wasn't i aware of this?" lol and then of course, jules would be concerned for joel being exposed to the cameras and gossip. but julian would definitely look out for her.

April is the sweet and fun loving type of girl and I think she could be someone who could get Julian to kick and back relax every once in a while. She's not exactly rich either so she would understand his issues with money and understand why he tries so hard to hide his financial issues from his son. When it comes to Joel, she's be completely in love with him, she adores kids and wish's she had her own so I think deep down seeing Julian and his boy would break her heart a little they she thinks she will never see her husband be like that with kids they never got a chance to have.

Kansas is quite the blunt woman but her's is more because she just says things that are on her mind and doesn't think (or particularly care) what it makes people think of her. To many she seems quite open and is a pretty likable person with good intentions but she keeps a lot of herself, her past and her life under wrapped and is just good at creating the illusion that people know who she is. I think these two could have... well not a friendship but more of a mutual understanding of one another and the way they both work though she is also kind of the type who would try and push his buttons a little bit, it's just her humor that I'm sure he would get used to rolling his eyes at. She could be one of the women he sleeps with, and that's how they met and they just have an odd sort of not-friendship from that, if that makes sense?

»Valerie, like Bael, is not very good at making friends and is not very good in social situations. She doesn't trust easily and makes a lot of enemies on accident. She grew up the poorest of the poor and does all of the work to get money enough for she and her parents to live. Her parents sell her for sex and keep the money for themselves to spend on alcohol. Valerie is 18 and is graduating from High School soon. She would go to college, but she doesn't have the money to.
I was thinking that maybe she could get into some sort of an awful accident and Bael is a first responder on the scene. Valerie would be her normal self and would try to avoid help especially for monetary reasons, but her injuries are too great for her to walk away from, so maybe Bael tries to talk her into going to the hospital, and she agrees, but only if he goes with her. The two are forced to talk with eachother on the ride to the hospital and afterwards, and they become friends as they realize how alike they are.

That's just the first idea that came to my head. I feel like Valerie and Bael could be unlikely friends, and it would be good for both of them because they are both so hard to befriend.

Any other ideas, lemme know! I have a few other ideas if you hate this one as well. :D

julian needs people around that understand why he keeps his financial problems from his son, otherwise if he didn't have some sort of support or reassurance, he'd think he was doing the completely wrong thing. they could definitely be friends. i can also kind of see her acting kind of motherly toward joel since she wanted kids with her husband, that is if you think that is something she would do. let me know if you want to thread.

bael likes people who are blunt with him, he'd rather hear the truth then deal with the problem of figuring out a lie. but, i agree, an understanding between the two would be good, something where the other person doesn't ask too many questions. pushing his buttons might actually be quite amusing to see, however if he ever gets too fed up he'd probably just walk away fom her, but since he tries to separate his emotions it would take a lot of prodding to really irk him. as long as kansas is willing to let him use her to tire himself out, he'd have no problem propositioning her for some sort of sleeping arrangement. i like it! bael always needs the field experience, and a victim that doesn't want to cooperate always makes it that much more fun. though if she is really persistent i can see bael just getting a little feat up and then picking her up and putting her in the back of the truck, if her injuries aren't too severe. and since she would insist on him being there, he'd be a reluctant but try to start conversations. unlikely friends sounds good, i don't know how talkative he'll be, but he'll be a quiet friend, maybe she could use him to intimidate some people that are bothering her. like past lovers she doesn't want to deal with... and just because i'm curious, what were the other ideas you had?? lol
