the day had finally come, it had been a quite a while since he had last saw drea. asher had stopped attending church and he wasn't even sure if drea still went there herself. he drove his pick-up truck towards the familiar route towards drea's house. he started to get a bit choked up when he started to pull into her driveway. he turned his keys off in the ignition and sat there for several minutes just staring into his dashboard. he let his arms crossed on the steering wheel and then rested his head on his arms. asher let out a huge sigh, he thought he was getting over drea but the familiarity of being together was still there. the feeling that he was going to be inside that house and welcomed with opened arms was still there. he remembered her family and remembered all the good times he had spent with drea. the two had basically grown up together and now he was all alone in this world. it had been years but they both texted each other feeling it was best if they exchanged their things after all these months.

asher hadn't been seeing anyone lately, he actually was quite lonely in his small apartment alone. he had moved out of his parents house after the breakup. he couldn't stand to see the places that reminded him of drea. the big staircase reminded him of the time they went to senior prom together.. the many many pictures his family took of the two of them. asher let a tear stream down his face, he quickly wiped it away. he hadn't cried in a while and he didn't want to start now. asher sat straight up and slapped his cheeks a couple times. the need to cry went away, he took in a deep breath and exited his truck. he went up to the front door. he had a lot of boxes of drea's stuff in the back of his pickup truck, he would carry those in after he saw her and said hello. he took another reassuring breath and knocked. he waited for what seemed like hours but was actually only a few moments. she answered the door, asher gulped, "drea," he basically breathed her name, he cleared his throat, "h-h-hey, long time no see." he gave a bleak smile.
