Patrick grew up in a middle class family in a small town in Virginia only moving away to attend the University of Ohio for two years majoring in criminal justice. Following college, he was enlisted in the Marines where he served four years overseas and came out with the rank of Sergeant. Not wanting small town life, he moved to Los Angeles and took an opening on the LAPD, becoming a homicide detective in just over a year. After closing quite the number of cases, he received several commendations and was up for consideration for Vice Squad until he brought down the senator's own son as the killer which ruined his career. His dirty partner turned on him and the paid off chief and mayor used the incident to destroy the police career of the young detective, sending him packing and making him look terrible on the news.

Without his badge, he opened a small office and began working as a private detective catching cheating spouses and searching for missing persons under the radar, occasionally working with the LAPD but only the few officers he knows he can trust.

What really defines Kensington are his vices of alcohol, cigarettes, and women in no particular order. He turned to liquor after the war to silence the screams of his fallen brothers, but cleaned up once on the LAPD only to go back to it after the news and department ruined his reputation taking him from war hero to "LA's Finest Fuck Up". Women have always been a weakness for him, though he is no womanizer and instead visits strip clubs and nightclubs to simply drink and dance with them having very few sexual encounters and as for the smoking, he's been doing that since he was sixteen.

All in all, the former prized detective is now a washed up version of himself waiting for the day when the case lands on his desk that will rejuvenate his career but also tends to poke around where he shouldn't trying to get back at the corrupt cops that got him fired.

There were times when he had plenty of these, but now few people even want to look at him believing him to be a Jew-hating alcoholic prick, among other things the media calls him. Regardless he still has some men from his old unit and cops in the LAPD that know he was set up and he can still depend on. If someone can look past his rough outer shell and understand why he is the way he is and why he wants to take the LAPD down, then they may find a friend there that would be one until the end.

Just like the reasons above, the media, he has many enemies. Mostly organized crime, who were in league with the dirty cops and politicians that set him up and keep a close eye on the young man making sure he doesn't poke his nose where it doesn't belong. These can also be former inmates that he had hand in locking up, people he didn't get along with in the military, or even someone that doesn't like his rugged nature in his current line of work.

Love....not a topic that he is familiar with. He's only had a few girlfriends in his life and all ended badly. If there was a girl that could someone get through his walls he's built for himself and endure his pain in the ass, sarcastic, cold nature then she'd find that the man inside is really a sweet, caring individual that has more pain in him than anyone but he would ever know.

- colette is an eighteen year old model who is in senior high school. all i can see in them is colette having a crush on patrick. colette is already dating the love of her life but that doesn't mean she can't 'like' other guys too so yeah, she'd honestly have a crush on patrick.

KAYLEIGH & PATRICK
- kayleigh is a twenty-two struggling singer and actress. she's the trustworthy type of girl that listens to people's problems and such. she's really trustworthy but she doesn't share her own family problems. but even though she's sweet and caring she can also have a good time and have a good laugh. she has mischief in her hands too. i don't know. i think they look cute together but since you said that you still haven't had anything planned for patrick and you want to just let him play around but anyway, i kinda imagine them dating. doesn't have to be finals if you don't want to and yeah. patrick can share his problems and she would never tell anyone but if he doesn't want to then no. though, i can see the part where he cheats on her or when they're flirting, he's like a timer, kayleigh would have her heart broken.

ALEXIS & PATRICK
- alexis is a nineteen year old singer in the girl band: little mix. she's fragile at the subject of love and she's afraid to be attached but she's the type of girl to have fun and she's just really fun to be around with. she jokes around and such but she can be serious. she knows how to stop and just be a caring type of girl. she's really sweet but she can be annoyed very easily at the same time. just like kayleigh, i imagine her getting her heart broken butistilllikekayleighandpatrick. it'll just make her be afraid of love even more and everything else. it causes drama in her life but i can't see them dating for a long time. perhaps they flirt and alexis thought there was something special but then he kisses another girl and that's the end of line. done.

DAMIEN & PATRICK
- damien is a twenty-five year old cop. all he wanted was just to serve people right and save them. i can see them being very close. they'd have a drink and everything else they'd share problems with one another and just simply like that. damien would honestly wouldn't like how patrick was framed that way and that he was shown bad to other people. another thing i can see is that damien wouldn't like patrick's flirting and girls here and there but he wouldn't say anything about it nor be bothered that much cause it isn't his job to stick into other people's noses.

TYRA & PATRICK
- tyra is an eighteen year old high school senior, too. but she acts so old to her age. she always parties, drinks, smokes, does drugs, and sleeps around. she's a princess of denmark but she never liked it so she's a bitch to everyone else and she's really flirty. they'd probably flirt and sleep together but nothing else but that. tyra's a player so she'd just have fun with him without getting attached.

CHRISTOPHER & PATRICK
- christopher is a secret agent whose twenty-five. of course 'secret' but since patrick is a private investigator i can see them working together and flirting around with girls. chris is that type of guy and he'd probably tease patrick just to piss him but its just for laughs.

Patrick would probably find Colette cute, but it'd be the kind of thing that she has a crush on him but he just sees her as a friend at best, spoiled rich kid at worse (he has a stick up his rear about the wealthy). But I'm leaning that he'd get along with her and probably not see her much but when he does be as friendly as his grizzled former Marine self can be

PATRICK & KAYLEIGH

Hmm, you know, I think these two could be cute together. I think he'd respect her trustworthiness (he hates liars and shady types after what happened with the LAPD) but she's similiar with her family troubles as he is with the pain he hides from the war. As for playing around, Pat's not that kind of guy. He may frequent strip clubs and nightclubs but that's just for relaxing and dancing drunk he's not a womanizer type and only sleeps with a girl for one of two reasons: either he loves her, or he has to do it for his job. So, while I don't like assigning finals to people cause life doesn't work that way, I think they could play off well and I'm anxious to see how they play out.

PATRICK & ALEXIS

I think that Pat would come across her while looking for information on a case. Her band could have played a venue that someone turned up dead in an alleyway and he's working on his own believing the killer to be the one he was after that got him fired from the LAPD. Possibly, he asks for her phone number and starts talking to her for information and she ends up falling for him and, him having a pulse, would probably not resist much since she's his primary source of information and cute. But, I think it'd be a neat turn of events if Patrick ends up kissing Kayleigh around that time and Alexis finds out about it ending not only their relationship but also his source of information.

PATRICK & DAMIEN

I like this, maybe these two could have worked together on the department which is why Damien knows Patrick wouldn't have done what he is accused of doing - at least then, he's a bit less give a damn now. I'd say they visited the bar together a few times and Damien could be Patrick's inside source into the LAPD that he goes to for information though Damien doesn't want to give him any in fear that his own job would be on the line if it got out. As for the flirting with girls, Patrick wouldn't care what Damien thinks lol He does it for his job to get information and, being a borderline alcoholic, he's not always in control of his actions like he used to be. I see Damien maybe helping him close a big case in the future and clearing his name.

PATRICK & TYRA

Patrick would probably flirt with her, but he wouldn't sleep with her. He was a great judge of character and would tell quick that she's too fast and not someone to be messing with, let alone her habbits and the fact she's spoiled royalty - he can't stand arrogant types But maybe the two of them could have a unique friendship that's love/hate but someone still works.

PATRICK &CHRISTOPHER

I see Christopher reminding Patrick a lot of his old partner Roy (whom he hates, by the way, for his part in the set up) but I think he'd get along better with Chris and the two of them could work together to help each other's cases

- colette isn't really a stuck up rich girl but yeah, she'd love to have conversations with him and its like a high school crush for her and such. but yeah, she'd see him as a brother-like figure or something, but yeah. friends.

KAYLEIGH & ALEXIS & PATRICK
- whoop. sorry. i have read wrong haha but anyway, yeah i'd like to see how they go in threads and such. it would honestly be quite fun. alexis would hate him for everything and wouldn't speak to him at all while i imagine kayleigh having no clue in whatever's happening with the three of them. and the no finals thing is fine, i totally understand. lets just see how they all three go.

DAMIEN & PATRICK
- well for one, damien would honestly love to help him out. damien wouldn't mind if he flirts and hooks up with girls for his job such but he'd come around beside patrick and just let him do his job and might even help. he'd do anything for his friend especially with each cases. he'd even keep it a secret to the other cops.

TYRA & PATRICK
- that said perhaps tyra would try to get him in bed but he wouldn't agree and then everything turns around and they became enemies or frenemies.... anything goes but if the love/hate thing really does happen, i can see them like... tyra teasing him and trying to annoy him most of the time and such. tyra doesn't really share she's a princess though. it sickens her hearing that.

- the only moment chris is serious is at his cases and such. yeah, i think they'd get along pretty well and have a laugh.
