it was a monday morning and today, sophia got to do whatever she wants. at least after her shift at the aquarium with adam and daisy. sophia was still in the two weeks baby dolphin watch. she actually doesn't mind it. it was actually fun. well, the first days weren't because of her feud with adam but as time progressed, it was actually amusing. out of the two weeks, today was their 'half day shift'. when twelve o'clock strike, they can leave the aquarium and do what they want. there will be someone else watching out for daisy... for the rest of the day. normally, sopphie would be at her house. either on tumblr, blogging, sketching or taking care of plants and flowers. but today was different though. today is the day that sophia finally goes out with a guy as a date and not a 'get-together' or a 'friendly hang out' for the past-almost-two years.

sophia sat by the side of the edge of the pool where daisy was, letting her feet feel the water. her hair was tied up and she was wearing the volunteer uniform. she had extra clothes in her bag. she looked at the time. almost twelve. she looked behind her then saw adam - her co-volunteer, ex-enemy and the guy she'll have a date with - standing, "oh hey. i'm just gonna change. shift is almost over." she said and stood up. "oh and... you should change too." she plays it cool but inside her, she was excited and scared at the same time. sophia stood up and grabbed her white mini-backpack. she smiled at daisy and waved then went to the changing rooms. she had the same clothes that she wore when she came in the aquarium. she just changed here earlier for the uniform. she took of her ponytail and wore her beanie with a clip to hold it in her hair. she wiped her feet and wore her shoes. she looked at herself in the mirror. there was no need to put make-up. she looked decent enough. well, she hoped. she wasn't really sure where her date with adam is but sophia already told him that fancy restaurants are quite awkward for first dates. first dates. so she doesn't have to dress fancy. just normally. sophia smiled and got out of the bathroom, her mini-backpack slinged in both of her shoulders. she looked like a total teenager. she looked around then saw adam and walked up to him, "lets go?" she smiled.

ooc - okay... so this was honestly very terrible. and i'm very very very sorry >.> anyway. i was too lazy to think of an outfit so.. it was almost no sense to link to polyvore. lol.

adam was really nervous for today. and he never really got nervous for anything. but today was the day he was going to go on a date with a girl that he really liked - sophia. it was rare for adam to like a girl. usually he hooked up with one, and then didn't talk to them ever again. he was best at that. adam didn't like having feelings for someone, because he didn't want to end up hurt. but the feelings in his stomach were ones he couldn't ignore. when he asked out sophia and she said yes, he felt like he was king of the world. right now adam was in the lobby where all of the employees could go to take a break or get something to eat or drink. he opened the fridge and grabbed a water. all day he had been out with daisy, and helping anyone who needed an extra hand. the water was very refreshing to him, and after taking a big gulp, he threw away the empty bottle and headed back outside

he walked back outside and was behind sophia when she turned and looked at him. adam gave her a small smile before she spoke. "are you saying that my volunteer clothes don't look good on me?" he joked, before letting her go change her outfit. adam grabbed his bag that he brought with him, that carried all of the contents he needed to change his outfit. also, he needed to grab his picnic basket from the fridge before he left. he hoped that sophia didn't know they were going on a picnic, but it was hard to hide a picnic basket from someone who worked right beside you. as he walked to the changing rooms he hummed a bit to himself. once in the changing rooms, he changed from his volunteer outfit to a pair of khaki shorts, and a polo tee shirt. he looked good, but also like he wasn't trying too hard at the same time. adam quickly changed into a nicer pair of sneakers before shoving everything back into his bag. once he was done, he put his bag in his cubby in the changing room, before heading back to the lobby to grab the picnic basket. after grabbing that, he was finally ready to go. he headed back outside and sophia walked over to him. "yes, let's go," he grinned at her. "first, we go out to the park for a nice picnic," he said, leading the way.

ever since sophia's last boyfriend two years ago, she never really thought about dating again. if anything, she didn't even wanted to date anymore. she wasn't sure if she was just still hurt or scared. or probably both. but she knows to herself she'd can't not date for that long anyway. she can't control her feelings so she'll just go with whatever. though, for the past two years... no doubt, sophia had tons of suitors. even though she wanted to 'go with the flow', she turns all of them down every single time. and she doesn't even waste her time to the flirty type ones, believing that they are just like her ex-boyfriend. and she treated adam the same... at least for the first days. but the twist? sophia fell for the boy. and today is their first date.

while sophia was on her way to the changing rooms, she heard adam and looked back with a smile on her face and chuckled. "maybe." she answered. then daisy, the baby dolphin, also made a noise. the dolphin's little cry was heard from the edges of the room. it wasn't exactly a room though. half of it was in the open. for some reason, daisy was separated from other dolphins in the morning. sophia grinned at the baby dolphin then headed again to the changing rooms. in all honesty, alaire had insisted for her to wear a dress but sophia figured she should just wear her top and jeans. she didn't want to make it obvious that she was looking forward to the date and at the same time, she wanted to be just normal. maybe next time, she'd wear the dress. it was actually designed by her sister and jenny personally. when sophia got out, she smiled at adam and her hand stayed on one strap of her mini-backpack. just like sophia, adam wore the same clothes he had brought when he went in his work. sophia wasn't complaining though. his style looked good on him. like, the boy-next-door type? she saw the basket and chuckled, "i was debating a while ago if that was yours or someone else's" she said and raised an amused eyebrow, "first? you have more plans for today?" she said amusingly and then followed him out.
